Traditional but modernised unique summer residence build in old Danish Style. Build in 1928 this in one of the very first West Coast houses - located on the highest top in the first line facing the West Coast. Panoramic view of the coastline!
This is a 100% unique house. Today the house is owned by 3 brothers and a sister and we all enjoy spending our hollidays here with our families - as our family has done it in almost 90 years! It was build by our great grandfather in 1928 and has a rich history. When our great grandfather build the house there was no other houses in the area - and he obviously choose the highest spot as close to the water as possible.
During WW2 the German army occupied the entire area and locals where denied access. The German army made this central located house headquarters of their operations in the area - and you can still explore the two German bunkers hidden on the ground, and you can watch the marks of the "army boots" on the old wooden staircase.
The panoramic view is fantastic and the historical athmosphere is felt in every corner of the house. This is the place for book reading, traditional game playing, kite flying, enjoying the beach, hiking, biking and for relaxing ind the old fashion style. If you are interested in a new build house with a swimmingpool this is not a place for you - but if you search Danish "Hygge" this is one of the prime spots of the country.
Pictures of the inside is on its way!
House "Reden" has 4 bedrooms (2 with double beds, to with bunk beds) - kitchen, bathroom, living room and a lovely porch.
The ground is huge and hilly
The Annex "Roden" has one regular bedroom and one bathroom. In addition our larger kids usually sleep ind the "extra bedroom" in the loft of the annex
The house is modernised, but still a historical building. So please take care of our lovely house:-)
