This dog-friendly mid-century New Orleans shotgun is located in a quiet neighborhood in the Seventh Ward just outside the Treme, French Quarter, and Mid-City. The home sleeps four comfortably, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a full bed doing double-duty as a couch in the living room.

The space

Enjoy New Orleans like a local in this Seventh Ward gem. The neighborhood is a 15-minute walk from the exciting New Orleans Fairgrounds and Racetrack (home of JazzFest!). This house is a traditional one-floor "shotgun" layout. The home has one main bedroom in the rear, with a living room with a full-size daybed. There's also a large kitchen/dining room, with available cookware, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer.

The house also has a fenced-in yard, perfect if your four-legged friends travel with you. I can also provide a large kennel in the house by request.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire house, excluding the bedroom closet.

Guests will also have access to the yard of the home. The yard is fenced-in, making it ideal for travelers with dogs.

The house is also a quick trip to nearby City Park, with all its amenities - a great place for your furry friends!

Interaction with guests

I will be out of town during your stay, but I will be just a phone call or e-mail away if you need directions or recommendations for places to eat, drink, and be merry!

Catherine is a wonderful host and quickly responded to any questions. She also gave us tons of suggestions for places to eat or grab coffee! Her love for NoLa is evident and I would definitely recommend her accomodations. Her place is very quaint! We had a wonderful experience!

I felt right at home the minute I walked in the door. Home was fresh and new, really clean and comfortable. Loved the style in all the rooms...very cozy! Kitchen was stocked with all the right utensils, so I was able to cook. The neighborhood was older part of town, but seemed safe to walk around, with local neighbors greeting us as if we lived there forever. Would definitely recommend staying here! Most Fantabulous visit---just wish we got to stay longer

We loved our stay at Catherine's! It was the perfect location for walking to Jazz Fest. I was worried that since we weren't staying in a toursity neighborhood, it might not be safe, but we felt totally comfortable walking to Jazz Fest and everyone on the way was very friendly. One neighbor even stopped by & let us know that the neighbors watch out for each other. We were greeted with local craft beers in the refrigerator- which were so appreciated after a long day of travel. The house is really cool and is so much bigger than how it looks from the front. Loved the style of decor and Catherine's costumes. The house has everything you need. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were kept clean. We had already packed pretty light and could've packed even lighter. Uber is easy to get in the neighborhood. The MidCity neighborhood is nearby and our favorite brunch place was Canal Street Bistro. Our favorite night was spent out back at the Bayou Beer Garden.

Legal professional living the good life in New Orleans. I enjoy road trips and making fabulous costumes - bonus points if I can combine the two.
