This is a brand new cabin with private bath at Lonesome Dove Ranch, due for completion in May. Overlooking a meadow of Aspens and Pines, it overlooks the Indian Tipi Village and live buffalo and adjoins wonderful hiking trails.

The space

It is located at Lonesome Dove Ranch and bed and breakfast. We offer trail rides and country home cooking at its finest in the western dining room. Breakfast for 2 is included in your price. There is an additional $20 charge per person for lodging and meals for 3rd and 4th persons.

Guest access

Guests are invited to enjoy the entire ranch, dining room and picnic facilities.

Interaction with guests

We love spending time with our guests and will be happy to give any guidance as to where to go and what to see.

Other things to note

The photo is similar to the cabin, although not the exact model. It is actually larger and we will get its photo up as soon as complete.

Lonesome Dove Ranch isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience. You sleep right on the ranch, next to the horses and bison, in teepees, cabins or ranchhouse bedrooms. I stayed in Gus's Cabin, which was roomy, comfortable and decorated with Western flair. The breakfast - ordered from a menu and served in a dining room - was hearty and wonderful. I took a one-hour horseback ride on the trails behind the ranch, which was well worth the extra charge. It's a bit farther out of town than I anticipated (about an hour to Glacier National Park), but it's a great destination all by itself.

This is a really secluded ranch which was nice. We only stayed 1 night before flying home the next day. Our cabin was set up nice with a window AC. This was really appreciated during the middle of summer when it was in the 90s. There was a queen bed, a mattress in the loft and I believe the sofa made into a bed. There were no shampoo or soap for the shower. I don't know if that is normal or not. Since we were only there for 1 night we used the soft soap from the sink. We got here about 5:30 pm. We didn't want to go back to town so we asked about purchasing dinner in their dining room. We were invited to come over and chose our meal from a menu. The food was delicious and the people were so friendly. We got to talk to others staying there. Breakfast is included which you again choose from a menu and they did not disappoint! The ranch itself could use some sprucing up but don't let that keep you away. In my opinion, It was so much better than a hotel room.

We booked the same day of our stay, which could have proved challenging but it wasn't at all for Sharron & crew. Communication was great, check in was very smooth and helpful and our accommodations were exactly what we had hoped for. The breakfast was delicious and filling and provided us sustenance till late afternoon. Enjoyed visiting with Hal & Sharon, exemplary hosts, you won't be disappointed!!

The Lonesome Dove Ranch and this cabin in particular is a wonderful place to stay. The first night, we actually slept in a tipi, which, although a cold night, was really fun and cozy. We moved to a cabin for two more nights and were really happy with it. The property is lovely, with horses, chickens, a buffalo, tons of rabbits, and deer. It's quiet and just enough removed from town to feel like you've made a great discovery, but close enough to go in for dinner or shopping. The people in the office - the owner Sharron and her assistants Sharon, Lacey and a couple of others were so so friendly and helpful. It's a really cool place. Breakfast is provided and is hearty and tasty. We absolutely loved staying here and would certainly stay here again when/if back in Kalispell.

I love the mountains and nature. My passion is horses and rescuing unfortunate animals, no matter how large or small. I love people and sharing our lifestyle (and animals) with them. After years of being an "over achiever," I have found peace and great pleasure in all that we…
