A refurbished studio decorated with contemporary art. 10-15 minutes from Roppongi station; 5-10 min from the busy Roppongi club district.
I am away for two months every year. I'm more than happy for someone to use the flat while I am away.

The space

A refurbished studio. The apartment itself looks dated but inside is modern/ nicely furnished.
I collect contemporary art. The house is decorated with works of Takashi Murakami, Steiger and other lesser known young artists. Hope you enjoy them:)

Guest access

I will not be around. Please feel free to access any part of the house.
However, some of my belongings will be still there; sorry if my coats occupy half the closet:)

Interaction with guests

I will not be around. Likely overseas, making myself an Airbnb guest as well:)
Do feel free to reach out to me by phone/ email in case of emergency. Otherwise, I will not make myself a lousy owner; please make yourselves literally "at home".

Other things to note

On almost every weekend, protesters come to the Russian embassy nearby. They conduct a loud-volume demonstration from around 10:00 in the morning.
If your priority on your vacation is to sleep in till late, my place won't do it unfortunately:)
[but only for the weekends]

Also my flat lacks a bathtub. If you are looking for a relaxing bath time, my place won't do it for you, either.

Amazing flat. Better than it looks in the picture. Sho is a really kind, generous and considerate host who went extra miles to make sure our stay was amazing. Everything was squeaky clean, amenity was outstanding with quality shampoo and body soap, bottles of water and beer for us to enjoy, welcome cookie, museum tickets, breakfast cereals, milk and last but not least beautiful flat with collection of artworks. Location is perfect too, 10 mins walk from Roppongi where there is a lot of nice cafes, drinking places and nightlife. Can recommend it to anyone who is thinking of staying in the area.

Sho's place is exceptional. It's a perfect air bnb. It's neither sterile nor too lived in. In other words, it has warmth--from the attention to design detail to Sho's extra consideration regarding food in the fridge and flexibility around check-in and check out. I really liked this place. The building has an old charm, with a lot of typical Japanese elements (not just another glass tower)--while the inside has been exactingly refurbished giving it tremendous light, an open cleanliness, and an elegant use of space (especially the kitchen and washroom). Highlights for me: a large desk to get real work done; a spectacular sound system that wirelessly connects to my own music; exceptional views of tokyo tower and the surrounding area; a large, comfortable bed; and a Pavoni expresso maker. Also: Sho is very kind and a remarkable host.

Sho's place was so fun to live in! I can't thank him enough for his effort for giving me places to eat and visit being a solo traveller.  Sho placed  an incredible amount of thought and detail in every inch of his  living space. From the art, lighting, the bathroom products, the bathroom design... I can go on forever with how much I appreciated this flat. It inspired me to do the same when I decide to renovate my own cool spot. When I arrived there was a fresh box of orange juice, milk and delicious cereal that I ate and drank everyday. The drink fridge was full of beer and water and there were smacks to much on. Everything is also pretty much electronically controlled through the iPad: the lights, curtains, drink fridge, ac/heating. I was impressed from the getgo. It's nearby to at least four subway stations (10 min walk) and right down the street from Roppongi (very touristy area).  This place is great if you're a single traveller. The bed isn't big enough for two - it's an American/Canadian single.  The only con for me is that the pillows are were hard and the pillow cases were not soft at all compared to what I'm used to. No biggie though. All in all, I had a super awesome stay.

Enjoyed a great weekend stay st Sho's flat. His instructions were very helpful and precise. He was always ready to help and things in the unit functioned exactly as he described. The location is a perfect jumping off point for exploring Tokyo and just far enough from the Roppongi nightlife so you can get away. Here is an example of Sho's great hosting: he left a guess pass to a nearby contemporary art exhibit.

Sho was a very good host. He was responsive, flexible, and very helpful. This apartment is spacious by Tokyo standards. It is designed incredibly well with lots of features. There are huge windows with amazing views that I thought wasn't mentioned enough in other reviews. The view of Tokyo tower at night in particular was beautiful. This apartment is in a very good location within walking distance of many transport links and attractions. The apartment is quite well equipped. I specifically enjoyed the lever espresso machine a lot. Sho had kindly filled the fridge with basic food, snack, and beverage which I found a nice touch. There are no iron, no hair dryer, and limited space in the wardrobe, and the bed is too small for 2 people but Sho is very up front about this right at the beginning. All in all, we really enjoyed this apartment and can't recommend it enough.
