A restored Grade 1 listed house on the outskirts of the town of Alaior. A 10min walk into the village, ideal for the early bird that wishes to surprise the family with fresh bread & newspapers at breakfast And only a 15min drive to Binigaus beach!

The space
A restored Grade 1 listed manor house in the outskirts of the town of Alaior. Set within a tranquil rural environment yet a short walk from the village. Conveniently located in the centre of the island of Menorca with great access to both northern and southern beaches.

Guest access
Guests have access to the house and secluded walled gardens. We have just converted one of the ancient water tanks into a swimming pool (approximately 8.5 x 3.5 metres) and this is now available for guests to use. For child safety, the access to the pool is via secured (with coded padlock) garden gates.

Other things to note
There is also a rental contract for this house which you must ask for when making your enquiry and subsequent booking. We will send you all the terms and conditions on a message thread. If you proceed with a booking we will assume that you are familiar with the terms of the booking contract and agree to them.

The quiet and extremely authentic town of Alaior is a short 10 minute walk away. The town offers a great range of shops and supermarkets. Two new small new restaurants have recently opened only a short 10 minute walk away. Do try Chauvoncourt at Placa Nova for affordable lunch time and evening menus (delicious cold summer platters, risottos, pasta dishes...), or just round for the ambience and a relaxed drink.

My wife and I have been visiting Menorca for the last 8 years. We immediately fell in love with the unspoilt nature of the island and searched for our rural retreat for 3 years. We stumbled across this wonderful yet derelict property and were immediately drawn to its convenient location, quiet rural setting, heritage status and Mediterranean landscape. We are both involved with property restoration professionally in the UK. As a chartered landscape architect I am treating this a very personal challenge. This is our Mediterranean 'landscape laboratory' where we are seeking to develop wonderful gardens to suit the outdoor living that our young family loves when on holiday. We have restored this very special piece of Menorcan heritage to the highest architectural standards. We have equipped the house with all mod-cons and with highest quality furnishings. This has been a very personal and exquisite restoration which we hope you will enjoy as much as we do.
