Kalavasos was our first station on our trip around Cyprus, we stayed 5 nights in the village house. The apartment is beautifully furnished and very cosy with a nice terasse with pink flowers, where our Baby had enough space for his daily workout. What we liked most in Kalavasos were the wonderful people we met here, especially Pavos from the supermarket and his daughter and wife. We are sure to come back to Kalavasos one day.

Takis house is really cozy and clean! We really liked the big balcony. The place is perfect for get-aways and relaxation among the local people. In Kalavasos there are very friendly people, special thanks and best regards to our taxi driver Andreas. You can really easily visit Governor's beach, Zygi village or bigger towns if you have a car or will use the taxi service provided.

The apartment in Kalavasos was a lovely place to stay, clean, cozy, air conditioning, beautiful and spacious balcony. Sofronis was a great host. On arrival, he really cared and shared all necessary information - plus a very friendly gesture of handing out a voucher for half a bottle of good cyprus wine with meal. The pictures in the offer show parts of various apartments though - you get one apartment assigned (they all look different). Kalavasos, the little town where the apartment was located, is a nice built-up area, with nice people and really good restaurants to enjoy dinner in the evening. All in all: Great time there, defenetly to be recommended!

We enjoyed our stay. Kalavasos is a lovely village in a convenient location, the property indeed provides an authentic experience, is extremely spacious, and Sofronis is a lovely guy. However, there are several issues to consider before booking this place: First, this is not one apartment but rather a house with several apartments, some of which are interlinked. The pictures on the listing page are taken from several apartments, which implies that the actual place you'll get may look different from what is shown. In fact, only two pictures of the 18 posted were taken from the apartment we stayed in. Second, the cleanliness of this place is far from perfect. We were struck by a smell of the ashes from the fireplace, which is rather strange since we stayed in early September. We also encountered quite a few welcomed guests from the animal kingdom, most notably cockroaches and slugs. Third, of the two showers in the facility, one didn't have hot water and the other one had hot water only during the day. I tried to contact Sofronis about it but never got a response. Forth, Sofronis didn't tell us where the pool is and we couldn't find it, but to be fair forgot to ask where it was so I imagine it's somewhere there. Anyway you should ask for its whereabouts(URL HIDDEN) Fifth, the walls are rather thin so expect to hear everything that happens on the other apartments. BTW if you're in the region don't miss Mama's Restaurant on the coastal road about 10 minutes drive east of Zyyi. Probably the best fish tavern you'll ever encounter (look it up on Tripadivsor).

My passion is renovating old houses. In 1987 I began restoring my neglected family owned house and following the completion I then started to restore several abandoned family houses in the village in an effort to revive the rural community and preserve the traditional houses of bygone days. My concept was to provide comfort without sacrificing their original, rustic character. Today all my properties have been converted into traditional holiday Agrotourism apartments and are all licensed by the Cyprus Tourism Organization.

I will be available to you every morning to assist you with any questions you have and can offer you tips and advise on how to discover the most beautiful places in Cyprus, and possibly also personally guide some tours if my schedule allows it.
I can help you organise sailing and fishing trips with locals to explore the islands sea side. You can be part of the rural activities of the area by attending cooking lessons for traditional Cypriot food, attend olive oil and wine making sessions, visit orange tree plantations where you can pick your own oranges and other fresh fruit, and visit local artists, as well as my own personal gallery since I am also a hobby artist.
If you enjoy cycling i can offer you road/mountain bikes for renting and suggest the best routes to explore the surrounding area.
