We live in the village and own the local surf shop - so pop in for any surfing and non surfing hints and tips! We are on hand to welcome you and to answer any questions you may have.
Other things to note
There is private parking for one car to the side of the property with more parking on the roadside.
Sorry, no pets are not allowed and there is a strict 'no smoking' policy in the house.
Please take care with the induction hob glass top in the kitchen, especially if you are cooking in the oven below.
Please separate your rubbish - there are marked recycling bags in the black box (recycling needs to be separated here), and rubbish bins with liners outside to the side of the house where you park. Rubbish collection is on a Friday.
On departure please place all used bed linen and towels in the bath tub for the convenience of our cleaner.
If in doubt, please leave the house as you found it.
P.S. Early advice of anything damaged or broken would be appreciated, then we can do our best to sort it - thank you.
From Jun 2 - Sep 14, 2018 the minimum stay is 7 nights.
I live in Portreath, Cornwall, a gorgeous village by the sea. I had been commuting between London and Cornwall but having recently had a baby, I'm now a little more rooted. I love London for its buzz and still enjoy returning to visit family and friends.
London though, is in high contrast to the way of life here in Portreath. Portreath is a traditional village, grown out of the days of mining for tin....boats used to transport the tin to Wales from our harbour. It is now a village, with a real community, centered around beach life, coastal walking and surrounding nature.
I love the local walks here, through the woodland opening out onto the north cliffs. If you need any advice on local walks, surf conditions or kayak hire, do let me know.
In terms of travel, I used to fly somewhere tropical, book the first night's accommodation and take it from there. Exploring as I go. Now with a 18 month old, let's see how things change!
