The neighbourhood

King West Village is one of Toronto's fastest growing neighbourhoods. It has been compared to the Soho neighbourhood in New York. King West Village is especially popular with young urban professionals, both singles and couples, who desire an urban lifestyle close to their downtown offices and within walking distance of Toronto's entertainment district.

In additional to residential options King West Village also includes: commercial office space, and one of the most active nightclub and bar scenes in Toronto. The Thompson Hotel located at 550 Wellington Street West has become a popular neighbourhood landmark.

King West Village now has the added cache of being the host neighbourhood for the Toronto International Film Festival which takes place annually in September. This festival attracts mega-stars to premiere screenings and creates a buzz throughout the whole neighbourhood and the entire city. The headquarters for the festival is the TIFF Bell Lightbox theatre on King West, which is surrounded by glitzy new condominium buildings that reflect the urbanesque lifestyle enjoyed by residents of this neighbourhood.

Keith is such a cool dude. The beautiful townhouse is well kept and very clean. Made me very clean too! he was a kick ass cat named Bernsey who is very affectionate and kind. He provides you with everything you need. Big comfy bed, sofa, 4 end tables (overkill but awesome), desk and chair, dresser and your own bathroom. This place is 2 bedroom plus 2.5 bathrooms... PERFECT!

Keith's place is great! The location is close to restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, and the street cars on King/Queen. It's a short bike ride into the financial core, and easy to get to tons of places. On top of that, the place is nicely furnished, cozy, and comfortably spacious. I loved that the bedroom was shady and cool, which I think is great for sleeping. And if you want to warm up there's a little "fake" fireplace you can plug in. A nice touch! One thing to take note of is that Keith's room is below the living room and stairs, and the floorboards are a bit squeaky. Not a huge deal by any means, but if you're a light & late sleeper like myself earplugs would help. A solid place to stay!
