Interaction with guests
I would love to get to know you and find out more about you. I can give you suggestions on businesses in town, hikes, Nordic and snow shoe trails. Let me know if there's anything else you want or need. I will likely be present at the listing, but could be out of town.
I am very friendly but I'm also a very private person and spend a bit of time painting and outdoors, so there will be times I am not available, evenings/nights also.
Other things to note
I'm not in town, but far enough outside to be quieter, yet close enough to walk, ski or bike. I'm in a residential area so there are neighbors and other dogs in the area. Please be aware I sometimes dog sit so I may have other dogs here as well as my 5 yr. old toy poodle. I will keep them gated upstairs and out of your space. You are welcome to use my kitchen if you let me know when you will need it, but I do not cook for guests or provide food. There is free coffee in the room. There are two twin beds in the room, accommodating two people; if you want to have another person in the room please let me know, there are plenty of extra pillows and blankets.
The water pump and sump pump can be pretty loud, so there will be ear plugs in the bedside stands.
I like common courtesy, as most people do;
I like it quiet after 8 pm and please no more than one guest unless you talk to me first and get an ok. No dogs please, I have my dog, and may be dog sitting other dogs, so there will be at least one dog although I will keep them gated upstairs.
I don't allow smoking in my home but feel free to sit on the porch if you need to smoke, and an ashtray is provided in the room.
The upstairs is my private space, but if you want to use the kitchen before 7 pm., please let me know so I can be out of your way.
My studio is downstairs, next to the bathroom, and I may be in there, but will keep it quiet and the door closed. This room is for my use only.
The amenities in the drawers in the bathroom, along with the blow dryer, and medical supplies (bandaids, sunscreen, etc.) below the sink, are for your use, please feel free to use what you need. The basket below the sink is supplies for cleaning the room, that is for my use only. Please ask if you need anything else!

I am a self employed artist and dog sitter, so there will lots of different paintings on my walls.
I'm more than happy to give you hints and suggestions about places in town that I know about is you ask. There is a basket in the guest room with lots of local information about activities, restaurants, etc., and there's also a printed guidebook in the room.
In the winter, I love to Nordic ski and show shoe. There is a groomed trail right outside my door that loops toward town and back, and endless places to snow shoe...and of course the downhill skiing on the mountain!
In the summer I love hiking, and can tell you some of the best spots. Biking is another favorite, and there are 2-3 bikes available to use...there is a walking/biking trail from my home that goes to town.
