I would definitely NOT recommend this place and here's why: - This should in no way be listed as a house with 5 beds. 2 of those 5 beds are sleeper couches that are not only unfit to sleep on but UNFIT to sit on. All 8 of us ended up sitting on the floor because the couches were so indescribably awful. - The dishes/utensils appear to have been picked up at a garage sale, and there aren't enough for everyone. - Even though it was not snowing when we arrived, the backyard was FULL of snow and made utilizing said space not an option unless we spent one of our 3 vacation days cleaning their back yard. - The hot tub was gross and had gray clay stuff lining the edges of the water line. There's also a faulty lid on the hot tub that appears to be a table but is really more of a janky lid that will eat your iPhone whole if you are naive enough to believe it's a solid surface. There was ZERO warning about this, upon checking in. My experience with AirBNB has always been great. However, I now realize it's because friends have always rented directly from owners and owners take a lot of pride in their home. So the moral of the story is: Don't rent from agencies because renting from agencies is all about $$ and not about the idea of providing a stellar experience to those vacationing in your home town. Lesson learned, loud and clear.

This is a very difficult place to review because it has potential to be something truly special and a great value. The host though has not taken the efforts necessary to help reach its potential. This is NOT a house for 8 people to stay in. There are 2 queen beds, a futon in a separate bedroom upstairs, and a totally unacceptable sleeper sofa in the living room. This item is not fit for sitting - we preferred the floor to its cushions - let alone sleeping. This meant that someone who dished out A LOT of money (huge price hike for Presidents' Day weekend) was very uncomfortable at night. Not cool. Another great thing about renting a cabin with friends is spending time in the kitchen - cooking and dining. Unfortunately, the stove in the house was barely functional as it wouldn't light. We worked around this but again, not fun, especially after paying a price comparable to a top hotel room in a major city. In addition, why wouldn't a host provide enough utensils for a house advertised as accommodating 8 guests? There were 6 forks, no large cutting knife and no sponge for rinsing dishes. The host also provided exactly 2 garbage bags. Considering the extensive instructions for clean up, you would think the host would make it easy for the guests. Not the case, unfortunately. Lastly, the hot tub - one of the main amenities for which we paid a higher cost. First off; the intimidating contract issued by the host after the small fact of paying, mentioned that it may be unavailable the first night, if say, the previous guest left it not in working order. We contacted about this before signing and were told it wouldn't be an issue. While the hot tub is in fact very nice and a great amenity, this particular one needed some work before accommodating new guests. Half of the jets don't work, and there were little shards of something floating in the tub. We used it...and discussed "What is that on my leg?" As much as engaging in conversation. That really shouldn't happen when paying $500 per night. Outside of these issues...the area is terrific and the house offers a great deal of retreat. Nice Fire place, 2 very comfortable beds and a 3rd option. If you throw a decent couch in the living room and look out for your guests in the way of kitchen supplies, you really may be on to something here in the future for a group of up to 6 guests. On a last but very important note - we contacted the host during our stay regarding these issues and received no response. We have asked for a 50 percent refund and are awaiting word. Please be wary of booking with this host, and also make sure to hold hosts accountable to their actions as much as they attempt to protect their own investment.

Thank you for your feedback. I have informed the owner and will look into these items. Note: The hot tub works fine. You just have to turn the dials to the jets you want to use. When it is open, pine needles do fall in. It was cleaned the day of arrival. The stove also works fine. You just have to turn it till it clicks, and hold it a few seconds. There are some nice thick mattress pads for the sofa sleeper. We are very responsive to all of our guests. Thank you.

This is a great house and we enjoyed our stay. However, there are areas that need improvement. The hot tub did not heat up enough to be used, the jets did not work, and the water was not changed frequently enough (it had a funny smell). The jets in the tub also don't work. The kitchen is missing key items if you actually plan to cook rather than eat out: no can opener, colander, chefs knife or cooking knives of any kind, and no baking sheets, just off the top of my head. The stove is kind of crummy, difficult to get the cooking flames lit, and once they are lit they are all rather small. The wifi did not work consistently, making it tough to get online much of the time. Despite all that we had a very good visit, so none of these things are spoilers but it would help if they were taken care of. We had an easy time taking our kids skiing, tubing, and hiking, so the location and basic function of the house is excellent.

Very nice complete home with great bathrooms and kitchen amenities. It is fully comfortable for 6 people in the upstairs bedrooms, but the pull out couch downstairs is only meant for a younger audience who doesn't mind a little discomfort when sleeping. The host was great and was supportive with all she could be of help.

Very easy check-in! We were provided a combination to the front door and walked into a very nice home. We were pleased with the layout - a roomy kitchen with a large, square table perfect for dining and games. A well appointed kitchen. The living area is perfect for relaxing and has a huge TV. Great deck and outdoor furniture with a hot tub, which we used both days. BBQing on the nice big stainless grill was easy. Both bedrooms and office/extra bedroom upstairs had everything we needed. Close to the village. Thanks for a great stay - we really enjoyed ourselves.

We were a group of eight, we had so much fun. The house was so clean, there was everything that we needed from kitchen utensils to clean towels. The hot tub was amazing, wifi was fast and there were many clean blankets and bed sheets. The owner is so nice we will be back soon.
