A colourful cottage, views of surrounding countryside & estuary, located in a peaceful hamlet. Pleasant walks to Glencaple, with a fine cafe, grocery & hotel. Dumfries lies 3 miles north, with Caerlaverock Nature Reserve & iconic triangular castle southeast.

Our home has 2 living rooms with multifuel stoves, a generous kitchen with Raeburn, Induction hob, and dual oven. 3 double bedrooms, one with a bed settee, 2 shower rooms & family bathroom. Vibrant garden with summerhouse.

The space
The original house, built in 1879, is variously credited with having been a school, and a wayside tavern, but perhaps not simultaneously. More recently, the house has been extended to add a living room with views to the river, and access to the garden; two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms; and a larger family bathroom. Upstairs are a double bedroom, and a study/extra bedroom, both with views over the front garden.

Guest access
The whole house is available to guests, though as this is also our home, we reserve some storage as Private Space.
