Doris is a great hostess and staying with her was a real treat. The guesthouse is a separate building on her property, so very private yet convenient to her place if you need anything. She made breakfast! Delicious - especially her homemade breads and jams. We got there just before sunset. It was such a gorgeous sunset that I would truly recommend that you get there a little earlier, have a glass of wine or cup of tea out on your little private patio and watch the show. Doris mentioned that it was the sunset that drew them to the property. The wines in Osoyoos and north of there can be quite nice too. Take time to try them. We definitely hope to get back there soon.

Response from Doris:
Would be nice to have a wine tasting tour together. We know several really good wineries. You love a good glass of wine - we too.

Doris is truly a Super host in every sense of the term. She was available and prompt with helping us with directions as we arrived. Her accommodation was exactly as pictured, meticulously clean and well organized with everything we needed. She graciously invited us to her gorgeous nearby log home to enjoy one of the best breakfasts with homemade preserves, buns, coffee, eggs, etc. She gave us a handout of a local fair and we enjoyed sunsets and the landscapes of her property. The trailer accommodation is close to the highway but dead quiet at night. We'll definitely be back!!

Doris is an absolute delight, and the space is very lovely. Breakfast was very enjoyable, but the proximity to the highway will keep us from coming back.

Response from Doris:
It is listed on our page that we are just off Highway 3. Sorry if the Highway was disturbing you - but we can't do anything against the traffic. Sometimes it's more, sometimes less. About all the other complains you mentioned: I am disappointed that you did not have the courage to give me your complaints personally at breakfast, 10 days for your messages have been required. Anyway, I am sorry that you are not satisfied with your stay.

Doris and Hans gave us a very warm welcome. Unfortunately when we arrived a truck drove into the power line so there was no electricity. To make up for this (although it was not their fault of course) Doris invited us over for some wine, and later for a lovely barbecue meal by candlelight. Very enjoyable stay with great views and a clean, private and well equipped accommodation. Extensive and delicious breakfast!

Response from Doris:
What a difference a power break makes!!! It was our pleasure to make your stay as comfortable as possible even without electricity. We enjoyed that evening as well.

What an impressive and unparalleled experience - the location is perfect for some downtime with the most incredible landscape, and Doris is an true host. The house is easy to get to after a day of exploring the wineries of the Simikameen Valley and has everything you need for short or long stays. Doris was a welcoming and flexible host. Communication was always quick and easy. The best part - the breakfast. Homemade preserves, buns and prosciutto, while looking out over the endless pastures. This was really special. Thank you!!

We felt like we were at a Bonanza film site. Wide open, rolling space. Our own 'luxury Bunk house'. Frogs sang most of the night, the moon and stars were amazing, and Doris's fresh baked buns with breakfast this AM.... Ahhhh :)

The hosts are world travellers who are happy to share their adventures or leave you in privacy to enjoy your breakfast. (Charcuterie, farm eggs, fresh baked buns, home made jams, orange juice and the best coffee ever!). The views, the proximity to a variety of lakes and fun villages, and the gorgeous Kettle River make this a perfect getaway for quiet adventure. We will definitely return!

After travelling the world with my husband Hans for more than 20 years we settled down at beautiful Nuessli Mountain.
During travelling and working for many years in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Greece, Romania and even Jordan I started to cook the menus of those countries and together with the already known countries we are very often on "culinary trips" all around the world. Thai, arabic, swiss, italian, german, austrian, greek style menus are our favorites.
Working many years for 4****and 5*****-Hotels in Switzerland I am looking forward to pass on my experiences to my guests and make their stay an unforgettable one.
