Kristen's place was our "home away from home," for 10 nights. It's a comfortable apartment, with a large kitchen, living and dining room, open area. The bathroom is a bit old and could use some TLC, but it was pretty clean, so that was okay.
There's no AC, so on hot days it got a bit warm in there. But, even in the middle of August, it was mostly pretty cool -there's a fan in the room, too.
Also, there's no cable TV, but you can plug to a HDMI cable and stream... so, bring your laptop ;)
The apartment is about 15 minutes walk from supermarkets, although there are plenty of buses you could take, so you won't need to haul your groceries for so long. Also, there's a drugstore right around the corner, for essentials. It's about a 25 minutes walk to the waterfront, and just about 5-10 minutes to the Public Garden.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay... Kristen was really nice and flexible, and we'd definitely recommend a stay at her place.
