Notun Bari constructed in 1778 with 28 inch thick wall of lime morter clay and bricks . House has 18 katha vacant land , far away from crowded Kolkata . Each morning ,you may awake with chirping of birds , squirrels dance and occasional visits of Hanumans . There is no push to thrive , dash for pressure . you shall compel to forget time Once a Zamindar bari abandoned for years, now renovated with modern minimum amenities like western bathroom ,running water. Ganga 20 minutes away. Roof top.

The space
2 storied building with attic having 28 inch thick wall made of only clay , morter, limes and bricks , wooden Kori borga , french windows of segun wood supported with iron rods as old as 100 yrs .Having vacant land around 1 bigha , with beautiful sky line and land and pond view. River Ganges is just a kilometer away . Notun bari is connected by train, bus and private car . House has private parking space with fence . Well or Indara fitted with tube can be operated manually and also by electric pump said to be connected with river Ganges . A iron wall / door weigh around 200 kg ,fitted in such a fashion between ground and first floor to prevent entry of dacoits during 1700 and afterwards . It is called Chap Darja and though it has huge weight but can be operated by women or even a child . The door supported with only a hook that can be pulled by minimum strength from a certain position to prevent entry from ground floor to first floor or Andor Mohol . Most of the houses surrounded Notun Bari , almost all are same ages but with touch of modernity . Population is very less and most of them are either retired or about to . Neighbours are friendly and sometimes , it may seem , they are too much friendly .
