Traditional apartment inside Lucca walls. On the second floor with a view of the bell tower. It has original large windows making it very bright, and high ceilings with traditional "cotto" flooring. Fully equipped kitchen. Parking nearby.
Fabulous location! My apartment is located in a silent and narrow street just a few steps away from the Walls. It's 5 minutes walking from one of the 7 gates of the city. 1 minute from the square for all the buses leaving for surrounding areas including Florence, Pisa, the airport, and the sea. 7 minutes walk to the train station. 5 minutes walk to Guinigi Tower.
You will be right in the hearth of the city! The people of Lucca love their walks on the wall ("un giro delle mura"). Join them on a fresh morning run on the Walls (4.2km around), or maybe a relaxing walk during sunset (there are plenty of seats and statues with the mountains in the background). After the round over the Wall stop at Gelateria Veneta for a memorable gelato or a fruity sorbetto.
Car parks are super close to the apartment. You can choose between indoor or outdoor car parks too. You will have to pay for all spaces, but the outdoor one is free during the night until 8am in the morning.
For any tips, do not hesitate to contact me. We have left a booklet in the house (right next to the TV) that includes recommendations for cafe's, restaurants, best pizza and best gelato places in town, and a bunch of a very typical restaurants where you can try real tuscan dishes. In the same booklet you will find tips and directions to reach the main spots around Lucca like Pisa, Firenze, Cinque Terre, beaches, mountains spot, countryside and the typical tuscan hills. There is help on where to find things in the apartment too.
The apartment is on the second floor. Once you are there you can appreciate the fantastic view over the city's roofs. The house is extremely bright all day long.

Other things to note
I live in London but my apartment in Lucca is very much "lived in" so it still feels like home sweet home when we return.
No animals permitted.
Italian marketer working in London since early 2015. My partner and I return to my apartment every few weeks to catch some of the Italian sun and visit the beach. Feel free to message me with any questions about Lucca and surrounding areas!
