Other things to note

I have a very casual fend for yourself approach to breakfast. There will be coffee on in the morning. In the fridge there is fruit and usually hard boiled eggs or yogurt. Help yourselves! There is cereal or toast available too. I often have muffins or other pastries too. You are welcome to whatever we have. We hope you will be comfortable fending for yourself! The bathroom --- we provide shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and mrs Meyers liquid hand soap. We do not have bar soap due to mess and waste. If you prefer bar soap you are welcome to just bring your own.

Andrea's place is the ideal base for exploring this side of Portland. The neighbourhood is peaceful, pretty and easily reached by public transport. The Hawthorne District/Division St/etc are just a short walk away with all the bars, restaurants and food carts you can shake a stick at. The place itself is immaculate and Andrea was an incredibly warm and welcoming host. All of her instructions beforehand and during our stay made checking in a breeze. The room is very spacious with a comfortable bed, a modern en-suite with shower and even an adjoining desk/office area. It is perfect for couples or solo travellers who want to spread out, and it was a great spot to unwind in after excessive amounts of food! Andrea and Matt are a fantastic couple with two polite and fun children too, and it was lovely to be welcomed into the home of such a caring, engaging family. Would wholeheartedly recommend any Portland travellers drop by. Thank you!

It was a convenient location for Western Seminary students and the room was clean and comfortable. There’s a small desk that was also helpful. It was great having everything I needed in the room I was staying.

Clean and tidy room, warm and friendly family, kind host, what else do you expect from such a good airbnb spot? I liked the stay there in Portland for my first time there thanks to her help.

I had a wonderful stay at the House close to Mt. Tabor. Andrea had an extra bike I could use to get around. I took advantage of it and discovered a good bike system all the way to downtown.

LOVED my stay. Host and hostess were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Adorable neighborhood, amazing park nearby, the bathroom is brand new and felt luxurious to me (heated tile, colorful towels, great showerheads...) . Sat in the lovely garden and worked for hours. Loved it.
