We are easy walking distance from family friendly coffee shops such as Tabor Space and Cafe Au Plait as well as Rain and Shine coffeehouse. Or walk to Caldera Pub to hear live acoustic music and get familiar with many of the Portland craft brews on tap.

Take a picnic to the park, we have the basket, blanket and all you need to make the most of Mount Tabor Park . . . or venture out to the Gorge, explore rivers, waterfalls or hot springs.
We are a pet-free, smoke-free home. Children are welcome. Just let us know what you need!
Access to back yard, tea and coffee, fridge to store your snacks.
Guests are welcome to share our dining areas.
Interaction with guests
We love to interact with our guests especially in the evenings and at the weekend. We are supportive and sociable hosts. Weekday mornings may be a bit rushed with work but we always welcome your conversation and interaction.
Other things to note
I have a very casual fend for yourself approach to breakfast. There will be coffee on in the morning. In the fridge there is fruit and usually hard boiled eggs or yogurt. Help yourselves! There is cereal or toast available too. I often have muffins or other pastries too. You are welcome to whatever we have. We hope you will be comfortable fending for yourself!
The bathroom --- we provide shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and mrs Meyers liquid hand soap. We do not have bar soap due to mess and waste. If you prefer bar soap you are welcome to just bring your own.
No smoking. We are a smoke free home. Sorry for the inconvenience but cannot have smoking anywhere on the property due to allergies (this includes all the outside spaces).
We prefer that no outdoor shoes are worn inside the home. We have a space to remove and shelve them once you enter.
No pets. You may communicate with us about your small lap dog as we have done that in the past. Please don't use instabook if you have a pet without consulting us.
Please park outside our house facing the direction of traffic. Don't pull into our driveway or park there as it blocks access to the back of the house. Please park on the street to allow space for two vehicles --- not parking right in the middle:) Please do not park even for short periods in the handicap parking belonging to our next door neighbour.
Only guests who are staying here should be spending time here without prior approval.
Okay enough rules we want you to have a good time here, be part of our family and have fun!! You are welcome to join in with us for any socializing!
