Description

The space

We rent two double private rooms of our house.
The rooms are independent from the rest, have separated entrances from the courtyard, a bathroom in common and WI-FI free.

The house is located on the hill facing the city of La Spezia.
Surrunded by a 5.000 sqm private garden cultivated with olive trees, vines, fruit trees and vegetables, it occupies a part of a typical country house built in mid '800.
The rooms combine the original rustic with simple minimalistic style.
You would enjoy a italian breakfast on the veranda where you would meet chickens, cats and our dog Paolo.

Guest access

Guests can use the small "summer kitchen" in the garden and can enjoy the meal on the veranda at any time.
The garden is at guest's disposal.

If you are not renting both rooms (at least 3 people) it is possible there will be other guests in the other room. You will have to share with them only the bathroom. The rooms have separated entrances from the courtyard.

Interaction with guests

We'll be very happy to provide information, suggestions and material about places to visit, excursions, and events going on in the city and in the neighbouring locations.

The neighbourhood

The best way to reach us is by car, by motorcycle or, if you are just a little bit trained by bike.
A big free parking is situated 30m far from the house.
If you are coming by train, we have a couple of bike you can borrow.
Bus number 34 stops two times during the morning 30mt far
Bus number 12 stops every 20min 1Km far.
At your arrival at La Spezia Train Station you have to take a taxi to reach us for the firs time. Once at the place we will show you how to go around by bike or with the public transport.

Historical City Center, Train station and Embarking point for the boats are 3km far. Shops and services only 1Km.

Getting around

The House is a strategic starting point for trips and excursions to Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Lerici, Tellaro, Sarzana, Pisa, Lucca etc.
5 Terre are amazing but around La Spezia there are many other fantastic and more quiet places you cannot miss.
Please, consider at least a stay of 3 days.

We stayed at Serena's place for two nights and had a wonderful time. We chose to stay at the villa due to its proximity to cinque terre, as it's a 10 minute drive into La Spezia, where we took the train. Our room was really lovely, clean, and had a bathroom shared with just one other room which we found no issues with. During our stay we interacted with Serena's mother who was extremely accommodating and helpful, and we could contact Serena herself if we had any questions at all during the stay. We would definitely recommend the room to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Staying at Serena's place was awesome for exploring the Cinque Terre. We had a car and had read online cars don't go well with the small villages, so we decided to stay in La Spezia. It worked perfect ally. Serena's friend Angela met us at the accommodation and was incredibly friendly and helpful sharing so much local knowledge with us. This helped plan our stay. We decided to park out car at the train station and then walked to the ferry. We caught the ferry that goes to all the towns. We didn't stop though, we went all the way to the end (20 euros each). It was a magnificent way to get an overview of the Cinque Terre. We disembarked at Monterosso and then walked to Vernazza and then onwards to Corniglia. The trail that continues to Manarola is closed so we caught the train. Manarola was a perfect spot for swimming and jumping off the rocks! Serena's mum was super lovely and put on a fabulous breakfast for us. Serena was incredibly helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend!
