You will also be able to reach us by telephone and by e-mail throughout your stay for any kind of assistance.
Our house is located in Kamishichiken, a short 2-3 minutes walk to the Kitano Tenman-gu shrine which is dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, a god of learning, and is the chief shrine of all the Tenman-gu in Japan.
Kamishichiken has retained some of its old charm with many machiyas, traditional old houses, and workshops still lined up in the street. You can enjoy typical Kyoto in this area. This is a red- light district, so you can often see Geiko and Maiko on the street.
Hirano jinjya shrine can be reached in 15 minutes by foot. This area is great place to see cherry blossom in spring.
We can also arrange bike rentals services, good way of sightseeing especially in our neighborhood.
You can use everything in our house.
Please be quiet especially at night, because this area is very quiet.

We wish to sincerely apologize for being strict, but our main concern is the safety and well being of everyone: our guests, our neighbors and ourselves.
1. For safety reason, we have an safety reason, we have an obsolutely no smoking policy inside but also outside of the house. This includes balcony, the entrance etc‥ Also smoking in the street in front of our house will not only disturb our neighbors (with little kids)but might also result in cigarette butts littering the floor.(URL HIDDEN)2. Please be aware that as often in Kyoto, our house is located in a compound where other long term residents live peacefully and quietly with their neighbors(URL HIDDEN) We ask our guests to avoid smoking noise or having loud conversations outside of the house.
3. Please respect the tradition in Japan of removing one's shoes at all time inside the house, and do not roll your suitcase on the tatami room.
4. Please bring own garbage to your home. However, you can buy 2 bags in check in center.
Again, we apologize for having strict rules. Thank you very much for your understanding.
