Good location about 10 min from the tube. Clean, basic apartment. Had all we needed. Check in easy and Jennifer was flexible with us for a late checkout.

The location of the flat is suitable for exploring the sights in London; however, it is a very long walk to attractions. Using the bus took 4+ times as long as walking due to constant traffic jams. The flat itself is not in a secure building - there are no hallways, it is direct entry from a walkway into each flat. Expect to bring your own hand soap, dish soap and toilet paper, and to have to light a stove if you want to cook. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower and sink. The noises from the other flats can get quite loud. I would recommend confirming WiFi information prior to arriving to ensure you have the current one and also double check all information for accuracy.

Jennifer was wonderful to work with. Of all the Airbnb rentals I've used I would have to say she is the best communicator of all of them. I'm happy when an owner returns my post within a day, Jennifer always responded to any request or question well within that time frame, more often than not within an hour, once within 3 minutes! She was nice and easy going. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet face to face, as this was a self check in apartment (with lock box, a big plus with our group of four who sometimes split out on their own. Not worrying about who has the key is always nice). The apartment is only 1-2 minute walk to a bus stop which offers easy access to the center of London, yet far enough away to offer a quiet night's sleep. The apartment is located in an apartment building surrounded by other flats, however this is a residential area and the neighbors are pretty quiet for the most part. As this is a residential area, you won't find much in terms of restaurants or pubs within 3-4 blocks, but the bus will quickly get you to these, so I wouldn't worry much about that. There is a very nice pub within 3 minutes walk called the Windmill Pub that offers good pub food and drinks at reasonable prices. We made this our last stop nightly. Furnishings at the flat are rather rudimental, and the fabric a bit worn, but otherwise the place was good, clean, and suffecient. The satellite tv offered a large variety of channels. There was plenty of hot water, even with 4 people taking showers in the morning. The only negative of our stay was the heating didn't seem to work properly, and maybe that was user error on our part. Still, for four old university friends, not a major issue as the apartment is surrounded on all sides by other flats. We all agree that we would stay there again when the opportunity arises to return to London.

We enjoyed the location and proximity to points of interest and transportation. With the elevator, access was easy to the flat. However, the flat could certainly benefit from some freshening up and investment in upgrading of furniture and overall decoration. I don't want to be too critical, because Jennifer did a great job communicating and provided tons of local information. The bathroom needs serious attention to safety (there is no separate shower) as there are no grab bars and the tub is very deep. making access difficult for a shorter person. There is a short glass panel that does little to confine shower water, and makes taking a shower very difficult. Overall, we didn't expect the Ritz, but the space could be much nicer with a little effort and investment.
