About this listing
Private room/guest bathroom in a bird lovers end-unit condo. Located on an active outdoor aviary and duck pond. Double bed. Overflow room available for an extra $45 for two more people. No children under 8 years. Non-smoking, drug-free household.
My condo is located on a large pond. It's very peaceful and there is lots of bird activity and people walking their dogs. Usually the weather is gorgeous. I have two decks where guests can relax and be by themselves or visit with friends.
Guests are welcome to use both patios in the front and in the back of the house. There are two bathrooms: the guest bathroom plus the bathroom downstairs. Currently, we don't have televisions for guests but we do have wifi throughout the house.
Interaction with guests
I'd like to see my guests in the morning and evening and find out if they have everything they need and are comfortable. I was going to make coffee in the morning.
Other things to note
Lots of parking on the street. No guest parking in front of the garage.
I'd like people to let me know if they spill something on the carpet or break anything accidentally. I'd like the doors locked from inside when people are home alone. No non-guests are allowed upstairs (near the sleeping areas) for safety and privacy reasons. If you would like to invite friends or family to stay, I have an extra sleeping room available near yours.

I am an Airbnb Host. My pond-view home is also my office. I'd like my visitors to be tourists, conference goers or students who are out and about during the day. In the morning, let's enjoy some coffee or tea on my back deck so we can watch the ducks, coots, egrets, and hawks getting ready for their day.
Please don't book this location if you are traveling with children under 16, your pets, or have problems with stairs. We are not set up for accommodating these issues.
In the evening, I would love to hear about your day and help you prepare for the next! I enjoy learning about other cultures and cities, meeting new friends, and helping with driving directions and on-line needs. I'm working as a leadership coach. I have been involved in micro-credit lending in Mexico, and I am working on programs that energize veterans and non-profits so they can have strong futures. I love the colorful, happiness of Dia de los Muertos as you will see in my home. My home is peaceful, clean, and comfortable. I enjoy my family and neighbors around me.
I originally come from the Richmond District of San Francisco, near The Presidio and Golden Gate Bridge. I graduated from San Diego State University and live within 20 minutes of all the universities, the Zoo, and within walking distance of Alliant University and a short bus ride to Miramar Community College. The house is located 20 minutes from downtown and the airport. The beaches are about 30 minutes away. There is close access to all the freeways. We are located near the Miramar Marine Air Base and there is plenty of parking on the street. I strive to help ALL my guests feel welcome and safe during their visit to San Diego.
As a Traveler: I usually stay in private homes when I travel, and I am a quiet, friendly guest. I journal while I'm traveling and I'm pretty low maintenance although I might like to put a few things in your refrigerator.
