About this listing
This beautiful 2 bed Apt on the Wild Atlantic Way has been carefully restored to accentuate the character of this ancestral farmhouse. On the doorstep of the Greenway & local amenities this property is ideal for couples, families & outdoor enthusiasts
Whilst maintaining the charisma of the original 16th century farmhouse this apartment has been renovated to a high standard incorporating modern appliances. Situated on the outskirts of Newport town the grounds are set on the banks of the Brown Oak river with a private pier used in the 16th Century by smugglers and the Pirate Queen Grainne Uaile. There is also an 18th century watchtower on the grounds, and Peter keeps a small farm and is always happy to introduce families to some of the animals.
Guests have full use of the apartment located on the first floor of the house. Please note the ground floor is for hosts use only accessed via a separate entrance. Upon arrival we will show you the areas of the grounds you may walk.
Interaction with guests
We live on the grounds only a two minute walk from the apartment; love meeting our guests and are happy to offer as much or little information on the locality as wished.
•Please treat it as you would your own home
Hi we're Joan & Peter, we're both retired and have one son & four daughters spread across the globe, and we love to travel. However, we are also fortunate to live in an idyllic location with a lot of history attached. Peter is a keen boatman, and we grab every opportunity to go out among the islands in Clew Bay, which is right on our doorstep. We both enjoy entertaining and meeting new people. We're very excited starting this venture and hope that if you chose to stay with us it will be a memorable one.
