We had a very restful stay in this exceptionally quiet and secluded spot that nonetheless was an easy drive to a wide range of tourist attractions and beaches. Very comfortable and well looked after.

This was an extraordinary short break for us. The weather was wonderful with so many beautiful places to visit and explore. The best part was the stay at this exquisite cottage and the welcoming generosity of our hosts Beatrix and Ralph. We slept very well which was unusual and so welcome, total peace and quiet in a beautiful garden. The cottage is incredibly well equipped and Beatrix provided some grocery items on our arrival which provided us with a delicious supper which was very kind. Everything was spotlessly clean and worked! We have stayed in many cottages in France but nothing compares to this experience. We wished we were staying for longer and certainly would recommend this experience. The cottage is beautifully positioned to explore coast and countryside but the hardest part is leaving the cottage as it is such an incredible retreat. Thank you for your warm welcome and helpful advice which made this a very special holiday.

Beatrix and Ralph were great hosts. They stayed up late to meet us on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. The gite is exactly as it is shown in the pictures...set in a charming, quiet location which was perfect for us to cycle from on a daily basis. Dinan was about a 10 minute drive but St Juvat has a little grocery shop for essentials. If you want a quiet, beautiful location in the countryside this is the place to go. The gite is just lovely, spotlessly clean and fully equipped and we would highly recommend it.

The gite is exactly as described, and as in other reviews, perfect. Beatrix and Ralph are also charming hosts that appear to have perfect intuition on when to appear to help you with planning your visits. This gite is in a great location and in an area we previously knew little about. We couldn't have asked for more and we had an extremely relaxing holiday. We would strongly recommend Beatrix and Ralph's place to anyone thinking of exploring this delightful area of France. Whilst it isn't far from Dinan it is in the countryside, and apart from a handful of other properties, well away from towns and villages. Ideal if you are seeking peace and quiet (not including the normal country wildlife sounds). We loved it. Thank you Beatrix and Ralph

Wonderful welcome, complete with berries fresh from the garden. Beatrix told us a little about the neighbourhood, and then left us to it. The garden was beautiful - I learned about marsh frogs and we heard tawny owls at night. The bed was very comfy, and all the facilities clean and working. Beatrix and her husband seem to have found a perfect balance between chatting and just letting you get on with things, which is a real skill.

Beatrix User ProfileBeatrix is a superhost.

After 17 years owning/cooking in a boutique hotel in Wales, we semi-retired to this area as we loved wine/food and the challenge of life in a different country--though I was born in Vienna! We love classical music/ books/ gardening. We have visited several "exotic" parts of the world but India has remained our favourite, as a total contrast to our everyday life. We enjoyed helping guests in Wales to get the most out of their visits and have done the same thing in France previously with chambre d'hotes guests, especially when asked to provide dinners for them.
