The neighbourhood

On the original main route from London to Bath, Crossroads Farm is steeped in history. It is alleged that when Queen Anne visited the city of Bath to try the waters, she stabled her coach horses here. The World Heritage City of Bath is only 8 miles away.

Crossroads Farm boasts far reaching views across the open countryside of Wiltshire, including Westbury White Horse. The area has a plethora of local gems to explore; from the award winning Neston Park Farm Shop, to Corsham Court, set in grounds created by Capability Brown.

A stone's throw from the market town of Bradford on Avon and the village of Box, home to the famous Box Tunnel designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Crossroads Farm offers a convenient and versatile base. The village of Box offers all necessary amenities; a small Co-op, eclectic café, butchers, post office, several pubs and even a wonderful Indian restaurant. Major supermarkets are a 10 minute drive away.

Getting around

There is on-site free parking for multiple vehicles and a bus stop outside, serving all local routes. The nearest train stations can be found at Bradford on Avon, Bath or Chippenham – each within 8 miles.

We just returned from a beautiful stay at Crossroads Farm. The property is well equipped, comfortable and lovely, it had everything we needed. The contact beforehand was spot on with local recommendations of pubs and walks plus the check in couldn't have been simpler. Thanks!

A lovely clean and tidy cottage in a superb location. Close by to Bath city centre as well as many other little must see villages. Paul, the owner, was very friendly, introducing himself upon arrival and making some fantastic suggestions for places to visit/eat! Will definitely book again next time I visit the area.
