The space
Welcome to Tropical Villa Soro – our tropical, Balinese-inspired home base for couples, creatives, and remote workers who want to unwind and stay inspired.
In the summer months, we travel for work and pleasure, and then we love to open our home to others. A place where we write, work and unwind ourselves-and that we like to share with who wants to enjoy space, nature and inspiration.
The villa is set in Vista Royal, a quiet and green district, just 1 minute walk from the salt pans of Jan Thiel a nature reserve with flamingos, mangroves and sweeping views. Start your day with a cup of coffee on the terrace, while the tropical breeze blows through the wooden shutters. The villa is designed for a naturally cool and open feeling of living, where indoors and outdoors are effortlessly overflowing.
The home features one spacious bedroom, two bathrooms and a bright study room with desk, extra screen and fast fiber optic internet (200MB). Work in peace in the morning, take a dip in your private pool in the afternoon, or explore the hiking trails in the nature reserve. Several books have already been written here - who knows what this place will inspire you?
Everything you need is in walking distance (5–10 minutes): beaches like Jan Thiel Beach and Caracasbaai, a supermarket, gym, beach clubs and cozy restaurants where you can taste local fish.

Our lovely property manager lives in the casita at the front of the property. She will welcome you in person, assist with check in, and be ready when needed-all with respect for your privacy.

There is private parking for two cars in the driveway, plus free street parking. Renting a car is definitely recommended to explore the island, although it is not necessary for beaches, restaurants, the gym, the nature reserve and the shops of Jan Thiel—alles is only 1 to 10 minutes walk.
Other things to note
Infants (0–2 years) are warmly welcome and stay for free. A high chair is available on demand. We do not provide a baby cot, but are happy to recommend a reliable local rental partner.
