Hi Katie, I am very sorry to hear that the stormy weather kept you awake. It was indeed an unusually windy night and we discussed the potential for tent flapping noises but you seemed confident that you'd be able to sleep through it. I also took the wind chime down which I only have to do a few times/year; very unfortunate timing! The previous night had been fine, as is tonight - weather is just one of those factors that's out of our control, and there's always that risk when tenting. Our tent can withstand torrential rain due to the carport shelter overhead, but wind is definitely an issue - fortunately it's rare. I will keep it in mind for next time to discuss an alternative sleeping option (such as the hammock or fold out sofa bed in the lounge and provide sleeping bags on standby) for future stormy nights. We usually host 4 guests at a time, in addition to our family of 4 (we have our own bathroom and fridge). I will be happy to send through a $10 refund (50%) on account of the storm to put towards your next accommodation - I will do this now. I hope you have a great sleep tonight.
