Very positive experience of staying with Pece. He is a man of great energy and friendliness. The place would normally be wonderful, but there were some building works going on at the time which reduced the tranquility. However, when they are complete the house will look stunning. We really enjoyed the food provided, and Pece was extremely helpful in terms of organising taxis and guides etc. We would very much recommend staying. The place was gorgeous in the summer, but I imagine it would be incredibly cosy in the winter too so perhaps a reason to go back. Oh, and there is the coolest dog there too, Leon. Super friendly...

This was the ultimate Macedonian experience. Pece was very kind and picked us up from Florina, which saved us money and hassle. The home is beautiful, old, and traditional. We spent the first evening enjoying the fireplace and eating traditional food. Pece helped to arrange taxis and even concert tickets. He was a fantastic host and we couldn't have been happier. We were not surprised that Lonely Planet had featured Villo Dihovo as one of the best accommodations in Macedonia.

Pece and his family are taking great care of eir guests. Every evening we would sit together and have home made food. Close by are great hiking trails and the garden at Pece is very inviting, too. He makes his own wine which is worth a try!

Definitely worth a visit to Villa Dihovo to meet Pece and his family. They are all so welcoming, helpful and friendly, and they will make you feel at home. I also recommend eating your meals at the villa - they promote Slow Food, which beats any other food by far. The village is so peaceful, you wake up to a beautiful view of the mountains, a short walk to a waterfall and Pece can help organize day tours to places not too far away, making this spot well located. The pictures and videos are true to their word, the rooms are cozy and comfortable and the garden is peaceful for relaxing. I highly recommend staying in Pece's villa.

Great place and great food. Close to walking tracks in the national park and the wonderful river swimmingpool in the village.

Arriving at Pece's unique enclave was an adventure in itself. The landscape and history captured our hearts and imagination. Pece, a very friendly fellow, met us at the gate and led us through his beautiful garden to our rooms. The buildings and rooms are all enhanced by creative wooden window frames, furniture and other features that gave us the feeling of stepping back in time into a bohemian fairy tale. The family meals were fresh seasonal vegetables, cheeses, and local sausage. We even enjoyed his home made wine. Pece was a wonderful caring host, he arranged for a taxi to take us to charming Bitola, avoiding the need to find parking. There was lots of information available for adventures in the area. We had a delightful 2 days, and would happily return.

We were received by the family very well. Our room had plenty of space, shower, and bathroom. We were free to "live like it was our own home", as Pece would say. Dinners with the family were fresh, home cooked, and absolutely delicious, especially after a long day hiking. Pece and his family make their own wine, beer, and spirits. We were shown the cellar and got to learn about the wine making process in Macedonia. We were going to stay for one day, but with Pece's description of the beautiful area we extended our stay. The forest did not disappoint. Leon, the family dog, was also a loving friend on our stay. A very cozy, mountain home to enjoy the peaceful countryside.
