Description

Bring your family to Historic Wolfeboro, NH and enjoy our 3 BR, 1 .5 bath house in cottage colony on Crescent Lake. Peaceful wooded property, 2 minute walk up the hill from sunny beach and dock. Enjoy family fun with cookouts and summer activities!

Our lakefront community is called Kings Pine Lodges and sits on quiet Crescent Lake that connects to Lake Wentworth via the Smith River. The main house, 8 small cottages, and a recreation hall were all purchased together by our friends and family in 2001. My immediate family purchased the main house on the property, which is about 200 yards from the water. At about 1500 square feet, the house is much larger than the surrounding 500 square foot cottages. Our house has 3 bedroom (accommodates 6), 1.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, internet, cable television, washer, dryer, wrap around deck with propane grill, small lawn with hammock in the shade, and parking for 3 cars.

Summer activities include access to the beach, dock, and floating dock to enjoy boating, swimming, sun bathing, and fishing. Wolfeboro has beautiful lakes and is a short drive to the best hiking in the Northeast. A nice mile and a half biking/hiking trail connects Kings Pine Lodges with downtown Wolfeboro. Enjoy beautiful sunsets over Crescent Lake while sitting on the dock or beach with a Margarita in hand!

Our family and friends own a couple of the neighboring cottages, so there is always someone nearby if needed. During your stay, we live a few towns away and can be present upon arrival if need be

Not much for public transportation in the lakes region of New Hampshire. Biking is terrific with biking paths to town.

This was our second stay at Kings Pine Lodge on Crescent Lake, and we enjoyed our week just as much as we enjoyed our first visit there last summer. The area is peaceful and perfect for a relaxing vacation, but with the convenience of Wolfeboro close by. We hope to visit again in the future!

We had a great short stay! The house was perfect for us. More than enough space and the wrap around deck was wonderful to sit out on during the early evenings. Mary was very responsive to all my questions and made sure that the baby gate was installed for our little one. The location is great, only a short walk to the private beach. It is also still very close to town and other public beaches. I would highly recommend staying!

Mary was such a lovely host. She was quick to respond to any questions we had prior to and during our stay and made us feel right at home on the lake. Her family friends who lived in the small community were very warm and welcoming as well! The lake was clean and peaceful, just what we were looking for on our weekend away. Wolfeboro is a wonderful town with an assortment of cute shops and one very delicious creperie called Seven Sons! Try to swing by the farmer's market in town on Thursday, it was very large and supplied us with almost all of our food for the 4 days we spent there.

Everything was great. The place was very clean and well stocked. Mary met us upon arrival and showed us all we needed to know about the rental, as well as the community beach. The beach had very clear water with a sandy bottom for swimming. The community members were most helpful and generous with offers to take my kids tubing and waterskiing. Mary was very accessible both before and during our stay.

We loved our stay! It was perfect for our family with 2 small kids. Mary provided child gates as well as a high hair. Mary was very responsive to all of our requests and checked in during our stay to make sure we were enjoying everything. She also let us use her dock space for a small boat rental. We would definitely stay there again.

Response from Mary:
Thanks for letting me know about the coffee pot. Obviously someone must have broken pot and replaced it with one that doesn't fit. Sorry, they never told me. Also, the beach towels I have provided in the past have gone missing. I have replaced them but they disappear again so now I have junk towels in the basement if people need them. Sorry. Glad you had a great stay. You guys left the place in very good condition. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

The location was ideal, very close to a little beach in a small gated community of cottages. The house is 1-2 miles from several grocery stores in downtown Wolfeboro. Mary was a wonderful host, although we did not meet in person, everything was ready for us when we arrived - even down to eggs in the fridge. She get's the highest of marks for being so accommodating. All of the owners of the surrounding cottages that we met on our one day stay were very nice. I highly recommend staying here to anyone, we loved every minute we spent here!

Thanks Michael. I'm so glad you had a great time. I always feel good when someone enjoys my cottage and community. Good idea about the blender and I'll make sure I get one soon. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Mary

Just finished a relaxing 6 days at Marys place. Its a great place. Beds are really comfy, kitchen is very well stocked including condiments, there's a washer and dryer and a gas BBQ. The WiFi is excellent. We stayed with our 8m old and Mary managed to rustle up a pack and play literally last minute for us. She provided us with some of her own hens eggs and garden produce which was unexpected and very welcome. The neighbours are all really friendly and happy to chat or not. We too were treated to a trip around the lake in Dave's boat, kindly lending us a life jacket for a baby! The lake has a beautiful beach and is shallow enough to go in with a baby. It was warm enough in August for the baby as long as there wasn't a breeze. If you were here with a larger group there was a large table and chairs down there too for outdoor eating. The lake itself is not even a minutes walk from the house. The railway walk is beautiful going either way. If you head away from Wolfboro towards lake Wentworth there's even a beach with a lifeguard. The stroller manages fine on this path. Mary stayed in good contact with us throughout our stay. We really did not want to leave.
