This is a GREAT location if you are planning to take the train and be without a car. The shuttle service from the train is very reasonable and reliable. We were able to walk the entire village from here.
The hosts were so great about communication in advance, I felt absolutely secure that I knew what to expect when I got there, and that I would be able to access the Chalet even if our train arrived late. They also checked in with us the next day after we were settled to make sure everything was okay. I thought that was very nice.
The unit was clean, and coffee service was available in the fully furnished kitchen. If we'd been there with a car, we would have probably brought a few groceries and cooked a few meals in the unit. The beds were comfortable, with a variety of pillows to choose from in the storage closet, and plenty of extra blankets for those who like lots of blankets. I loved that the main bedroom had its own sink, so for two friends sharing the place, we each had a place to put our own toiletries without getting in each others' way. The living space was very roomy, more than enough for the two of us, and even two couples or a family wouldn't feel crowded.
For ADA purposes and those concerned about privacy, there are a couple of oddities about the floor plan that aren't obvious from the photos or diagram. There IS a door between the two bedrooms. As shown in the floor plan, you do have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom, but what wasn't obvious is that the spare bedroom is partially open to the kitchen (there's no door there like there is between the bedrooms), so each bedroom has limited privacy but in a different way. The other thing is that the photos show the whole building from the front, and it looks like it has front steps. This unit actually is accessed from the right side of the building instead, and has no front steps, but it does have a sunken living room with three steps up to get to the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom, which could present a problem for those with limited mobility.
None of that would be a deterrent to us staying again, however. Overall, this is one of the best experiences I have had in an AirBnB rental. It was so cozy, the hosts so helpful, and the location so ideal that I would definitely come here with a friend again in the future.
