Peace and quiet

Garden view

Soak up the view during your stay.
Some info has been automatically translated.
You will sleep in the former lamp storehouse of the Pérols-sur-Vézère train station. You will have a view of our garden, the sheep certainly, the chickens as well as the rails.
These small regional trains stop 10 times a day and do not run at night.

This small habitat has been completely renovated with salvaged materials. The stone walls are original and therefore restored with cement and lime mortar.

The space
The lamp shop has a bathroom, living room and quiet place to sleep. This little house is completely yours. You have access to the whole garden as well. Not far away you will see our sheep and chickens who sometimes roam freely. They are accompanied by a rooster... namely for those who are sensitive to noise because he does not hold back!

Note that there is no kitchen in this place. We'll install it outdoors next year.

Guest access
You have access to the whole garden, on both sides of the house.

Other things to note
Breakfast is offered for an additional 7 euros, consisting of homemade bread, local jams and honey, coffee/tea and a fresh egg.

From the host

We live in the main house, not far from the lamp factory. This is a home and an active farm so there may be a wheelbarrow lying around or our son may have left a small wooden car near the house.

Pérols is a pretty little village that's very quiet. The houses are well maintained as well as the church and the fountain. There are beautiful hikes that take you into the forest.
The associative café La Cerise sur le Plateau has opened its doors. You can have a drink there during opening hours:
- from September to July: Friday evenings 6pm/8pm and Sunday mornings 9am/12pm
- in August: Friday and Saturday evenings 6pm/9pm and every morning 9am/12pm.

As for the shops, you have to go to Bugeat (4 km) for the bakery, local café, Carrefour, butcher, tobacco, etc.

I am a Scottish folk musician, and I work as a chef in a restaurant in the french countryside. I love music, cycling and climbing amongst many other things. I live with my partner Louise and my son Marcèl in a train station, with many chickens, sheep and cats. I love to meet all different people, and travel as much as possible. I am polite, respectful, clean and tidy. I speak English and a little French.
