The space
This grand house, standing at the corner of Murfreesboro's historic streets, Main and Maney, was a witness to Civil war maneuvers surrounding the battle of Stones River. It has seen births and deaths, weddings, receptions, wakes, funerals, and a birthday party for a presidential nominee.....A witness to Col Nathan Bedford Forest and his cavalry's march from Woodbury July 13, 1862 to disperse the Union garrisons stationed at the court house and Oaklands.
This American four square has diamond-patterned windowpanes, accentuated by custom drapery.

Where you’ll be

Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States

Pristine Main St. boasts well lit streets featuring brick side walks, period lamp posts, sidewalk furniture, beautifully manicured lawns, gardens and a variety of historic architectural styles.
Historic Murfreesboro's downtown features an adaptation of the Greek Revival style court house built in 1859 listed on the National Register of historic places. The courthouse was occupied by Union soldiers during the Civil War. You are invited to walk through one of the six remaining antebellum courthouses in Tennessee. Our downtown also features a significant collection of commercial architecture, boutiques, local restaurants, art and musical venues. The first City Café was believed to have opened around 1900; in the 1930's you could order a meat, three vegetables and dessert for 35 cents.

Hi, my name is Paula. I am a self employed Interior Designer and Fine Artist. I love dark chocolate and wine. I have traveled extensively and hate the whole hotel scene. My favorite travel experience was a hostel in Ireland. I believe the stay is as important as the journey. As your host I will greet you in the driveway, show you to your room, answer question, then leave you to enjoy your stay. My number is in the room in case you forgot something or need anything. I hope you come stay in our historic apartments. Paula
