This light and airy house is located on a quiet and coveted one-way alley street in the middle of the Mission District and Valencia corridor. Huge modern skylight in the center of the house gives natural light throughout. Walking distance to some of the best restaurants, bars and cafes in the city. Dolores Park, Bi-Rite and Clarion Alley (famous murals) are all just two blocks away. Tartine bakery and the beautiful Mission Playground/Pool are within a one block walk. WALK SCORE: 98!!!

The space

This gorgeous, sunny home is located on a quiet alley street right in the heart of the Mission and Valencia corridor. Linda Street is famous because the houses are all nicely painted (mostly pastels with little balconies) and and it is a one way street (so foot traffic and car traffic are minimal). Although the street and bedrooms are quiet, you are within walking distance to some of the best hotspots of the Mission District: Dolores Park (2 blocks), Tartine bakery (1 block), Delfina pizza (1.5 blocks), Bi-Rite Market (a wonderful gourmet market) (2 blocks), Bi-Rite Creamery (2 blocks), Clarion Alley (2 block), Farina Restaurant (.5 blocks), Locanda (2.5 blocks), Mission Cheese (1 block), 826 Valencia (1.5 blocks) and numerous others. Grab a few beach chairs from the garage, head to Bi-Rite for picnic items and then walk another 1/2 block to Dolores Park. Other highlights include the murals (the Mission Mural tour walks right around my neighborhood (website hidden)). Last, transportation couldn't be easier with a BART station just 3.5 blocks away. I am happy to give you many suggestions about places to eat, drink and relax during your stay.

The house is large for the area (1200 square feet) and built in a classic San Francisco style with decorative molding and detail. However, the house was renovated to be contemporary inside with a large central skylight, open floor plan, beautiful artwork and hardwood floors throughout. Professional grade kitchen and accessories.

The house has 2 bedrooms (sleeps 6), a full bathroom with tub and stand up shower, living room (with piano), small balcony and an open kitchen, dinning room (with a table that can extend to seat 10 people), and bar area with an ice machine. Master bedroom has a queen size bed. 2nd bedroom has twin over full size bunk beds and twin size trundle under full. We also have both queen and twin size air mattresses that can be used if requested. The couch is another place someone could sleep if needed.

We have business class internet, Comcast cable, AppleTV and Sonos. We also have laundry available in the garage. Parking spot may be available upon request for an additional $20 per day fee.

If you choose to stay with us we will offer you clean towels for use during your stay and closet and drawer space. You can expect great hospitality and a very welcoming atmosphere from our home! We look forward to having you stay at our house in the most vibrant district of San Francisco.

Interaction with guests

I was born in SF and have lived in the city for over 25 years. If I am in town, I will help with recommendations and anything extra you might need. If I am out of town you can check in on your own and everything will be ready for you on your arrival.

Other things to note

Please note that I am usually renting out this space when I am out of town - that means I will have personal items in the place. Please do not use clothes in the closet, leave drawers alone outside of the kitchen drawers and please don't remove anything from the apartment. However, you are welcomed to use any toiletries that we leave out for you and anything in the kitchen. Let us know if you have any questions!

We had a lovely stay in Cameron's house. The instructions and entry arrangements were straightforward and everything worked as it should. The area nearby is an excellent base, some brilliant stores and cafes etc and it felt safe. The house was stylish and extremely well equipt. After a long day out it was v easy to get delicious pizza to take out from Delphina nearby and eat around Cameron's lovely table. We really enjoyed living in her home for a few days and had a great experience of San F based there. Many thanks for everything!

Cameron was very responsive. It is clear that this house is lived in, which are my favorite places to stay using AirBnB! (Rentals feel so sterile, and rarely have everything you would need during a trip to a new city) When I booked the place and told Cameron that we had 6 adults staying, she shared her concern about the beds and house being comfortable for all of us. I appreciated because she was very conscious of wanting our stay with her to meet our expectations, which it did and went above and beyond. Cameron's place had everything we needed including an iron, toiletries and snacks. There were 6 of us arriving at different times, Cameron was flexible and responsive when one of my friends reached out to her after realizing her flight was leaving later than I had initially thought, Cameron was flexible in our check out time to accommodate the change. The house was clean, organized, warm and inviting. She was thoughtful enough to leave fresh flowers out on the table, a special treat for us, and a note regarding our trip, with details I had disclosed to her before arriving. The location is very close to Tartine Bakery which is delicious! It felt very central, and easy to get to. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and suggest it to anyone looking to stay in a beautifully cozy home in a big city.

Cameron was an amazing host! Although she was heading out for a quick weekend getaway herself, she still made sure she stopped by to say hello to make sure we were settled - even dropped off an iron before she headed out. That said, she left very detailed instructions and a back up contact in case any issues came up - but thankfully we were all set for the weekend with absolutely no complains. And I can’t forget to mention that her place was everything we imagined - great location (short walk from shops, restaurants and Dolores Park) and very homey (quiet street and the kitchen had everything we needed). Definitely looking forward to our next stay here! Thanks again for everything Cameron!!!! :)

Lovely home with lots of character, plenty of room for our family of four to spread out after a day of sightseeing and we had everything we needed - Cameron had kindly left us some snacks which we really appreciated after the flight and taxi ride! Lots of light in the home - we really appreciated the skylights and the French doors in the living room. The home is on a very nice quiet street, but close to everything (local patisserie Tartine had fabulous pastries for breakfast). Lots of great shopping and places to eat nearby on Valencia (we were spoilt for choice!), and near to Dolores Park, which is the perfect people-watching spot. Excellent location within the city - walking distance to the Castro and lots of attractions, and a short uber drive from downtown. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting San Francisco who wants to live like a local. Very cool place in a very cool area.

We absolutely loved this house. First, the house itself is beautiful, clean, well stocked, and spacious. It was perfect for our family of three but it definitely has room for a larger group too. The bedrooms and comfortable and quiet. My son loved the bunk bed so much he didn't want to leave! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook a great meal at home. The neighborhood has some of the best restaurants in the city and we loved being able to walk to Dolores Park. We had no trouble getting all around the city using busses, Muni, and BART. Cameron was a pleasure to communicate with. She was always available if we needed anything and gave us some great tips. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Cameron's place was an excellent spot for our family. While I attended a conference downtown, my wife and daughter spent their days exploring the Mission District and drinking tea in Delores Park. The house was close to public transit and any sort of dining experience you could imagine. A great spot that I would highly recommend.

I am a lawyer and have lived in SF for over 20 years. I have owned this home for the last 12 years and it has been amazing to see the Mission district change over the last few years. I enjoy bluegrass music and play bass and sing in a band. I also have 2 young daughters that keep me extremely busy.
