Ocean and beach views

Soak up the views during your stay.
Experience a unique stay aboard our 1951 sailing yacht, Sea Lion, moored in Charlestown Harbour, a picturesque harbour on Cornwall's South Coast. Enjoy the many popular eateries and bars located around the harbour for your morning coffee and cake to BBQ, pizzas and fish & chips. Alternatively dine in at one of the beautiful high end restaurants Charlestown has to offer. This beachfront location has easy access to coastal footpaths and beaches, with Mevagissey, Fowey and the Eden Project nearby.

The space
You will have exclusive access to this beautiful boat which comfortably sleeps 2-8 people in 4 cabins. Cabins 1 & 2 each have a cosy double bunk, and cabins 3 & 4 have bunk beds. In each room there are large skylights giving the whole boat a light and spacious feeling. There is an extra charge for groups with over 6 people, with a maximum of 8 guests altogether.

The boat is accessed by a gangway from the harbour wall onto the deck to ensure safe and easy boarding. It is locked by a combination padlock on the main hatch. Accommodation is accessed by 2 hatches, the main hatch taking you into the open-plan saloon/ galley (kitchen), and the second takes you from the cockpit into the first cabin, which can also be accessed from the rest of the accommodation area.

On deck there is a large cockpit (outdoor seating area) for you to eat outside, relax and read a book on a sunny day, or enjoy a sundowner.

The light and spacious saloon lounge/dining area with comfortable seating is the perfect place for a group to sit and enjoy some evening drinks and a board game together. With board games, playing cards and books on board for your enjoyment.

In the colder months there is heating on board, two small plug in radiators and a fan heater. There are also 6 hot water bottles for extra warmth at night.

The adjacent kitchen includes a coffee machine, kettle, microwave, fridge, and crockery. We also supply kitchen roll and basic cleaning
equipment.

There is one bathroom on board with a toilet, sink and hot shower. On the quay next to the boat there is a toilet cubicle for your use exclusively.

There are 3 fire extinguishers and a fire blanket for your safety located throughout the boat. There is also a smoke alarm in the kitchen.

Guest access
Guests have full access to all of the boats key facilities including the deck, cabins, charthouse, bathroom, saloon and galley. Restricted areas include the forward storage room and the engine room where guest access is not permitted.

Other things to note
The boat has good stair access for those who can negotiate stairs 'more like ladders' with good hand holds. The toilet onboard is for liquids only, there also is a toilet for the sole use of our guest on the quay next to the boat.
