Friendly, charming host. Area is a bit sketchy but not an issue, felt safe walking to and from the train station. It's only a 2 minute walk.

Pat was a fantastic and very attentive host. The place was definitely worth the money. The only issue was the area. As two young female traveling alone we felt a bit intimidated walking to and from the station. But the walk there isn't too far so for other guests it may be fine. This is no reflection on Pat. He was a fantastic host and did everything possible to attend to our needs. Would definitely recommend to those on a budget. Thanks again for having us Pat.

Pat was a great host and was available if we needed him. He even offered to get us anything from the shop if we needed it. Like the description says, the neighbourhood isn't the prettiest but it was safe enough and best of all the house is just minutes from the metro which takes you directly to the city attractions in around ten minutes. The house itself was lovely with an easy access code to get in. The room was great too: clean, tidy, and with fresh sheets and towels. Shared kitchen and bathrooms were well kept and it was nice to meet other travellers from different countries. Overall an excellent stay and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Hidden gem in a rough area. Friendly hosts and an adorable cat! Really enjoyed the backyard area, nice and private which is rare in the city.

I am a 37 y.o. cultural anthropologist and native Philadelphian. I operate this small international hostel in a historic Philadelphia building, which functioned as a horse-stable in the 1920's and 1930's, until being renovated for human beings. We always have an interesting crowd here but, sorry -- no horses!

My 4 rooms are clean, quiet, private, and locking. Although not the most charming neighborhood in Philadelphia, the area between my home and the train station is safe, well-lit, and lined with active business and shops. It's a funky, eclectic, multi-ethnic train station area and I try to provide the most convenient, cheapest, and highest quality experience for my international guests.

Many of my guests become lifetime friends after they leave. I pride myself on being a professional Airbnb host, which is why so many travelers, tourists, students, and business people trust me to provide them with the most comfortable, convenient, low-cost option in Philadelphia.

Please take a look at all 4 of my rooms, and see which one is best for your needs.

I look forward to meeting you!
