Rustic upper village ski in/ski out, breathtaking view at this south facing, 2 bedroom condo. Lovingly decorated (count all the snowmen!) family getaway. Sleeps 6 with adjoining studio lock off available to accommodate 10 guests. Enjoy the steam shower after a long day on the slopes in the winter or hiking in the summer.
Our 2 bedroom condo has two queen sized beds and two twin murphy beds (the kids LOVE them!). The balcony has a lovely south facing view where you can comfortably view the Saturday night fireworks.
We love coming here to hang out and create wonderful memories. There is a great selection of board games, puzzles, DVD's and a Wii which is set up to stream Netflix.
The kitchen has a full sized fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a coffee maker, coffee grinder, waffle maker, electric frying pan, blender and hot air popper (talk about going old school!). There are also a selection of staples such as hot chocolate, tea, sugar, flour, spices, oil and the odd can of soup to get you started.
The pantry has additional linens and a new (fall 2015) washer and dryer.
The bathroom has a steam shower, in case you don't feel like going down to the 6th floor to have a soak in the hot tub.
This condo also adjoins to a studio unit which, when rented together, can accommodate 10 people.
There is a shared hot tub and sauna on the sixth floor in the games room, which also has a shuffle board, ping pong table and air hockey table. There is also a library on the 6th floor, complete with board games, puzzles and books, for those who want to have some quiet time.
This unit also comes with underground parking.
The ski out is down the hall and out the exit door. It connects to 'Moguls Track' which feeds into the bottom of the Perfection run which takes you to the Plaza Chair, Ridge Rocket and Snow Ghost lifts. You'll be riding a lift before you can say 'epic pow!'.
Interaction with guests
I can be contacted via cell. There are also on-site manager (Catherine) during the ski season. A lock box on the exterior wall of the parking garage houses a building key and the condo uses a key code which will be provided. The parking pass and additional building keys are in the condo.
Other things to note
We always keep a stock of staples, which you are welcome to.
There are also four sledders on the balcony for the kids to use, just be sure to use them responsibly.
Our condo is non-smoking, but you can smoke on the balcony. The building has a strict quiet time between 11pm and 8am which must be respected. We only wish to rent to families and friends wanting to get away to spend time together. No loud parties or disrespectful behavior please.
Nice to meet you. I love to spend time with my friends and family. I am an accountant and my husband is a chef by trade. In the summers, we love to host fantastic BBQ's in our home in Kelowna, BC. In the winters, we love to create wonderful memories at our condo with our two kids at Big White, which we have nick named 'My Happy Place'.
Avid yogi, lover of excellent coffee and passionate about learning something new, I also love puttering around in the garden in the spring/summer and trying out a new crochet pattern in the fall winter.
I've been skiing since the winter of 2010 and am 'facing my fears' by tackling blue runs this year (2015). Each season is a season of learning. I'm just happy that I can now keep up with my kids.
