Welcome to the Bere Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in the Tamar Valley between Devon and Cornwall.

6 miles from the market town of Tavistock. Close to National Trust properties, Buckland Abbey and Cotehele.

Relax in a newly converted detached barn conversion in the ridge top hamlet of Collytown.

Over 20 acres of our farm and woodland to enjoy and take in the stunning views across the Tamar and Tavy estuaries.

Dartmoor is closeby, Cornwall's finest beaches an hour away.

The space
A newly converted detached barn conversion completed in April 2022.

This Grade II listed has been lovingly restored to maintain is rustic charm and create a modern open plan space with vaulted ceilings throughout.

This barn conversion has recently been nominated for the Devon Barn Conversion of the year.

The barn has it’s own private driveway and parking area within our 20 acre farm. Perfect for families, couples and friends looking to explore this beautiful area of Devon. EV charge point (Tesla - which supports charging from most Electric vehicles) being fitted 1st Aug 2022.

There are two bedrooms, the master bedroom with it’s King sized bed and a second bedroom which can be configurated as a twin bedroom or as a second King sized bedroom (please advise us before arrival). Both bedrooms have smart TVs.

The bathroom has a lofty feel to it with it’s super vaulted ceiling. A luxury Burlington suite with a shower above a roll-top bath. Relax by candlelight in the bath and play your favourite music using the integrated Bluetooth speakers in here.

Guests have an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a real wood burning stove, enjoy the double fronted wood burning stove from all aspects of this space.

Please note that the wood burning stove doesn't have a fireguard due to it's double sided nature. We welcome families with younger children, if lighting the fire, care and supervision around should be taken at all times. There is full central heating available for guests full control and use.

Fully fitted kitchen facilities. Integrated appliances include a full sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, fan oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a washing machine with dryer.

The barn has it’s own Wi-Fi which guests have full and free access to. Please contact us if you wish to enquire about speeds, please note we are in rural Devon and fibre broadband hasn’t arrived with us yet.

There is adjoining covered storage for bikes, canoes, surf boards, paddle boards etc. Although we are in a rural location, this area is not lockable and we recommend you bring appropriate locks to secure your items.

Bere Alston, a five minute drive away, has a well stocked Co-op, another convenience store, post office incorporating the village bakery, chemist, butchers and hair & beauty salon.

Our local pub is the Olde Plough Inn in Bere Ferrers, a 30 minute walk from the house (though up hill all the way back!) which serves local beers from the Bere Brewery and food.

We are unable to offer guests the option to bring dogs or other pets to the farm.
