This is a wonderful property and so far in our ten years of renting holiday homes by far the best we have come across. The quality of both the inside and outside certainly exceeds what can be seen from the listing. We had plenty of room for our party of 11 adults, with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms which are all of very high quality and well appointed. The kitchen and living area are more than adequate, and the summer kitchen was an absoloute hit - despite the very warm weather during our stay we used it almost every evening since it is ideal for cooking and eating together in one place. The house is equipped with everything necessary for hosting a large group. There is plenty of outdoor space, so you can always find some peace and quiet away from everyone else. The pool is a very good size, the only drawback being the lack of immediate shade, but the nearby trees offer sufficient cover as necessary. The 2 km rough gravel track leading up to the house is a challenge for smaller cars, but the position of the house and the solitude/views it affords make the bumpy ride more than worthwhile! Communication with Philippa before we arrived, and liaison with the housekeeper during our stay, were both perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning, or at least hoping, to return next year!

Our stay at Phillipa's house in Provence was one of the most incredible vacations that we have ever taken. The house and grounds are beautiful and exactly as pictured, and we enjoyed many sunsets over the valley, including the light onto the red rocks of Roussillon in the distance. It is hard to describe how peaceful and magical the property feels. We had grandparents, our brothers, and a toddler and still had plenty of space in the house. Phillipa arranged for a baby cot and high chair in the house for our son (as well as toys), which were wonderful to have on site, and we swam everyday in the heated pool and dined on the patio and in the summer kitchen. The house is a short driving distance from many quaint towns of Provence, each with a classic market to take advantage of the delicious food of the Luberon/Vaucluse region. It is also an easy drive from the TGV at Avignon or the airport in Marseille. We hope to return, this place is truly a gem.
