We stayed six persons at casa Eda for two weeks and had the best time. The house is located in the beautiful area monte san quirico and is about 5 km from lucca, unfortunately it is a bit hard to walk in to lucca due to that you have to walk on a small road with heavy traffic, but we tried a few times. The house is so big and beautiful decorated. The garden is perfect for for just relaxing with a book or having a nice dinner outside. The view from the house is just stunning, wine plantations and mountains everywhere you look. Allesandro and Antonella are really good hosts, always ready to help, we also got their local produced wine for our first night! Also the garden has a big plantation of different fruits and vegetables which we where welcome to eat from. And thank you Otto (the Gardner) for all you help!

We loved our one week stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Lucca. The house is absolutely lovely, clean, large, and comfortable. I was a bit concerned about not having air conditioning but it was not a problem. At night, we left the windows open and were perfectly cool. In the day, the house really stays at a nice temperature. The vineyards are lovely, the area is quiet, and it was the perfect place to relax and go for a run. We either walked or took taxi's into lucca. A taxi was around 20 Euro but the walk was just as nice. If you had a scooter or a car, this would be a bit easier but we never had problems requesting a taxi when needed. Alessandro is a great host and very kind. Thank you for opening your home to us. It made for a memorable family vacation.

Casa Eda is a stunning traditional old style Italian home lying about 6 minutes drive from the walled city of Lucca. It sits in beautiful countryside and it's own garden is a veritable paradise where one can enjoy eating al fresco each day. The family are very caring and take a lot of time to ensure you are enjoying your stay and always on hand to assist including the daughter who drove down to Pisa Airport to pick up my sister who flew in late one night - such a kind gesture. House itself is liking a living museum of older family times and more or less unchanged from previous two generations but still a pleasure to stay in and very clean. We so enjoyed our 2 1/2 weeks there and ventured forth each day from our base to many parts of Tuscany and got to know Lucca itself very well and what a super town it is. This place is well located, good value and well recommended.

We spent a lovely week in a quiet rural time pocket of a very special family home that is part of a modern vinyard. The house itself fits the description and the pictures, and its situation is close to Lucca. There is also full access to a lovely well-kept garden. Also there are good local restaurants within easy driving distance. We especially recommend Osteria Pio! Alessandro and his sistern were extremely helpful. We really recommend their place. Thank you Alessandro and Antonella for your great hospitality and welcoming! We absolutely enjoyed your beautiful house, the yard, the fruit trees, walking through the vineyard! We even received 2 bottles of wine from their own winery! On our last evening they gave us a tour of their winery/ cantina! What a beautiful place! We absolutely didn't want to leave! We had dinner every evening outside! Beautiful cozy experience! The house is like a piece of Tuscan history with paintings, pieces of art and family albums to bring you back in Italy 50 years ago!

Alessandro and Antoinella made us feel very comfortable! There was fruit, juice and water in the fridge when we arrived and we were given a very warm welcome! When I couldn't find the washing machine, Alessandro rushed over to show me where it was (in the garage)! The house and garden were delightful and we had a thoroughly relaxing time eating in the garden every evening! The location is excellent 3km from Lucca, close to Pisa and half an hour to the beach! Thank you once again for a lovely week!
