This place is very interesting. The actual person who gave us keys was not the father or son, it was the restaurant's cook/manager. He was so helpful and very kind. My friend and I stayed here for six weeks. The location is fantastic. Georgetown is a short walk away and the metro is at your disposal in a very convenient location. Air conditioner is fantastic! You'll want it in this D.C. heat. HOWEVER, what these photos don't show you, is that the building the airbnb is located in is surrounded by abandoned buildings that are occupied by the homeless. If you stay here, be prepared to be yelled at, often, and called horrible names. At one point we were followed to our door and yelled at. We had to push the door closed before he came in and still he stayed at the door yelling at us. Now, there is also a gate leading down to the basement where the airbnb is located, but you share another gate with the neighbor. Most of the time the neighbor left the gate unlocked so we often felt unsafe staying here. We asked the host about the gate issue but never received a response. One neighbor said that they were not given a key to the gate so it had to remain open. BEDROOMS: The pictures on the site gives this place more justice than it deserves. It is very small, much smaller than the pictures show. The twin bed does not have the comforter shown in the pictures. It's a blanket. Beds are rough, especially for six weeks. You have to walk through the room with the twin to get to the next room. So very limited privacy. There are glass doors in the bigger room- at one point someone was trying to open the doors from the outside in the middle of the night. The walls are VERY thin, as in you will hear EVERYTHING from the adjoining apartment. Conversions and other things... BATHROOM: The walls in the bathroom are stained with splatters of something red/brown. The baseboards are also falling apart, parts of the walls are cracked or missing. The vent on the ceiling is clogged with something grey. The toilet has stained streaks. The shower will clog every time you use it, without fail. And the sink does not have a stopper so keep any and all jewelry away. On the bright side there are a bunch of towels. KITCHEN/LIVING AREA: room for one only, perhaps this is a city thing. Most of the silverware had stuff stuck on it when we got here. There was moldy bread and expired yogurt when we got here- just kind of gross. The couch is old, very old. A blue velvet. One of the biggest issues we had is the amount of mosquitoes that are INSIDE the airbnb. There wasn't a night that we did not get bit multiple times. (No we did not keep the doors open, they were here before...

Location is great, close to Metro station. The host is very friendly. Walls could be a little thin if you are a light sleeper. Overall, we had a great time.

Great place in a pefect location! Very comfortable, nice to have a full kitchen for ice, drinks, snacks, left-overs and also a washer/dryer! DC Café is awesome, Starbucks almost right next door, easy walk to Dupont Circle and Metro station. Ayman at the DC Café is a very gracious, generous host who welcomed us warmly, took care of small requests and made sure to keep our appetites in check with delicious food and desserts. What a pleasure to stay in such nice apartment and to be taken care of by such wonderful people.

Great location near Dupont Circle, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you just need to stay a single night in that area. The apartment was located in a basement with little to no sunlight. And as mentioned by others, the place wasn't clean e.g. mold in the bathroom and dirty floors.

PROS: great location two blocks from Dupont Circle; Embassies, Starbucks, coffee places, shops, restaurants, supermarket, subway station minutes away CONS: overall very superficial cleaning between guests (sticky and unwashed dishes and silverware in the kitchen, mold in bathroom, dust on shelves and tables, comforter stains); apartment is in a basement: poor natural light; could be noisy with loud neighbors
