Description

The space

Fine and very original, this open space is located on the second floor without elevator of an historic Florentine building in the center of Florence, a few steps from Palazzo Pitti , Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi , in the Oltrarno , one of the most beautiful areas of the city. This is the most distinctive district of central Florence, it is full of life with restaurants, markets and craft shops. The ideal starting point for those who want to turn the city on foot.
The apartment measures 170 square meters and can accommodate up to six people . Florentine terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceiling , the decor recalls the typical Florentine style while the fireplace of the fifteenth century ( usable) and furniture give it an original and classic touch that will make your stay a dream . The kitchen is functional and well equipped with gas hob and electric oven, offers everything you need for your culinary needs . The living room consists of a large table for six people (60s table and chairs designed by Gae Aulenti)and a comfortable sofa with armchairs and chairs (some of their origial of 18th, 17th and 15th century) around it , to be comfortable with friends or family. The bathrooms available are two, one with Jacuzzi and elegant shower. The sleeping area consists of three bedrooms: the first is located on the ground floor and consists of a single bed and sofa bed, while the other two are located upstairs in the two lofts , one with two single beds, and the other with double bed. The stairs have a space dedicated to wardrobe. Extremely quiet as it overlooks a private courtyard. When the weather is fine if you open the huge windows, the apartment is transformed: it reverts back to the lodge that was in 1500! So you are outdoors!
Also perfect for business meetings.
MOST IMPORTANT: WE CAN STORE YOUR LUGGASES BEFORE CHECK IN FROM 10 AM AND AFTER CHECK OUT UNTIL 11 PM.
Near the apartment there is my parents' restaurant, so the guests can find all day long someone speak english, french, spanish or russian that may help them if they are in trouble.
Dad Fabrizio and Mum Donatella in their restaurant offer to the guests a 15% discount!
THE TRIP AS AN EXPERIENCE:spend a holiday in a palace built in 1300 and still intact today, part of an ancient castle of Renaissance Florence, in whose garden Boccaccio, Paolo dal Pozzo Toscanelli, Brunelleschi, and Vespucci have talked about art, literature, mathematics and nautical routes.

The neighbourhood

THE TRIP AS AN EXPERIENCE: As the Paris Rive Gauche also the Oltrarno (which is on the left bank of the river) remained the only area of the city center which is not dedicated exclusively to tourism. You can find housewives who do their shopping at the local market, artisans who work in their shops, art galleries and important antique shops . Some of the most typical restaurants of the city are in this area and are mainly frequented by the Florentines.

Getting around

Near the loft there are buses to go to every part of the city and all monuments, museums, most important places and the main railway station are no more than a 15 minute walk

This location is excellent for sightseeing and for walking. Near a supermarket, Pallazzo Pitti, many places to eat and drink. It was great for our group travel. Via Toscanella is a quieter side street that removes you from the hustle & bustle of Ponte Vecchio

This place was very clean. Has 1.5 bathrooms so took a little organizing for the 6 of us but we made it work! About 15-20minute walk to the train station closer to shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We loved this place! It's in a great location we could walk everywhere. The shower and the beds stood out to me. We stayed 3 different places in Italy, and this place had a shower with great water pressure and never ending hot showers. We were traveling with 5 adults so this was very important. And the beds and pillows were very comfortable! We went to Italy the end of April we didn't need the air conditioning but the remotes were there if we needed them. Which other places we stayed hide the remotes because they didn't want us using the air conditioning. I would definitely come back and stay here.

We stayed at the apartment for 2 nights and would like to thank Maria for hosting us. The apartment is a lovely 15th century building with lots of space. Located just 15 min walk from the train station, it was ideal for walking to all the monuments in Florence. The apartment was very clean and Maria and her parents (who run a restaurant nearby) had done everything to make our stay comfortable. In addition, the communication was very efficient. We received clear instructions and directions before and after we arrived. Maria's parents were really helpful and offered useful advice and tips. All in all, a great place to stay and would definitely recommend it. Thanks again.

This apartment is perfect for a family and is centrally located to so many restaurants and landmarks. Maria Luisa was very responsive to issues we were having with the wifi (she answered my texts within minutes). Her family owns the restaurant downstairs which we visited on two occasions. Their food was delicious and the service was fantastic. It is not an exaggeration to say that we were treated like family.
