Hugh's lovely cottage is a perfect escape for anyone wishing to get out of the city and relax. Hugh and Caroline are wonderful people with answers to questions from where to eat to where to visit. If they don't know they can give you suggestions on places to go where you might find what you are looking for! We were fortunate enough to enjoy this lovely area for a short day in a half, but we are definitely planning on returning in the future for longer!

Our stay at Hugh and Caroline's place was lovely. It was peaceful and quiet and they were both really helpful when we had any questions. It was a little bit cold in the mornings but nothing that wouldn't be solved by wearing socks or putting some wood on their lovely wood burner. Ben the dog was great company when sitting out in the garden and was always there to greet us. Would definately stay here next time we come to Ireland.

Lovely space in a great location, large living room with kitchen area, woodburner, spacious bedroom with a really comfortable large bed. The smallholding is lovely with hens and geese and pretty outbuildings. Hugh and Caroline accommodated me at the last minute when I the previous airbnb I'd booked was unsuitable and I was unhappy with it, this was superb and everything I was looking for. A great base to explore county Cork.

My wife and I had such a great stay at Sycamore Grove Smallholding. The environment was beautiful, the accommodations were extremely comfortable and Hugh and Caroline were wonderful hosts. It was perfect for visiting Drombeg Stone Circle and a short drive to Skibbereen. There are many other things to do in the area, but we had driven a lot at that point of our trip and really just wanted to relax by the wood stove and enjoy the peace. Hugh gave us tour of the farm which we appreciated. Highly recommended!

We loved our time at Hugh's so much. The accommodation was lovely and beautifully clean, with everything you could need. The grounds were so nice and Ben the dog was such a sweetheart, we wanted to bring him home with us! Hugh and Caroline were very friendly, accommodating and relaxed. We would highly recommend staying with them and exploring such a beautiful part of the world. We didn't have time to do nearly as much as we would have liked, but still had an amazing few days.
