Description
Description

The space

My home was built in 1931, the inside is all original, old growth fir floors, cedar ceilings, ship plank wood walls. Huge deck where high tide is a few meters away, sometimes you feel like your floating.

Guest access

I have two BBQ's, launch space for kayaks and small boats. Kitchen, WiFi, T.V. plus locked storage for golf clubs, bikes etc.

Interaction with guests

As much or as little as each guest would like. This is my full time residence so I will be here during the stay.

The neighbourhood

There are dozens of walking, hiking and bike trails with minutes of my home. A small park is a short walk away, the general store (over 100 year old) is within walking distance. Water activies happen right outside the front door

Getting around

There is a bus stop right at the mouth of my drive way.

I moved to the house that Grampa built in 2010. Have worked very hard to maintain the cottage as it was back in in the 1930's. Living here is like having a gift each and everyday, look out at the ocean and something different is happening. How wonderful is that.
I have been very fortunate to have travelled the world in both my professional and personal life. I have lived in Mexico City, Hong Kong, Montreal and Hawaii just to name a few places. I was fortunate to join the airlines during the era when travelling the world meant 7 days off in Amsterdam, no same day turn around during that time. My second career started in the mid 70's when I ventured in to the world of High Tec, that was a exciting time, little did we know what world wide changes we would be creating. My husband worked for the airlines so we used our free travel passes when ever the travel bug bit, which was often. Every winter I head to Mexico with some friends to find the sun and the warmth, love it here in Halfmoon Bay but winter not so much. Come and visit, dine on the deck, bring your tennis rackets, bathing suits, bikes, kayaks any outdoor playthings that you need. How about golf? Or just bring that really good book, curl up in my Grandmothers wicker chairs and watch the world go by. Welcome to the WEE PINE KNOT.
