Our summer cottage is located in Buckow / Brandenburg about 1 hour from Berlin by car. It was built in 1904 by a shoe manufacturer, has a small garden with a large sunny patio and the balcony overlooks the Schermützelsee.
The house is over 100 years old and renovated with lots of love and charm and renovated. There are 3 bedrooms (1 double room and a children's room for max. 2 children upstairs, 1 double room in the basement) and 2 bathrooms each with toilet and bath. Fireplace, garden with table tennis and large, sunny veranda.
The whole house (living space about 140 square meters), including a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, and the garden (approx 600sqm) is at guests' exclusive use.
Interaction with guests
We are here for our guests at all times, but not in the house.
- Beautiful walks or bike rides around the lake and in the nature park.
- The Bertolt Brecht Summer House Museum is a 3 minutes walk.
- There is a movie theater, several delicious restaurants, supermarket, organic market and a public beach with rowing boats for hire within walking distance.
By car about 1 hour from Berlin.
S-Bahn or regional train to Strausberg or Müncheberg. From Müncheberg by bus or taxi about 10 minutes. Taxi from Müncheberg costs about 15 €.
Other things to note
The house is in the nature reserve Märkische Schweiz, surrounded by forest, nature and four lakes.
Up to 2 children under 12 free.
Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
Dogs welcome by arrangement. No cats.
From Dec 30, 2016 - Jan 01, 2017 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
