A large 18th century former corn mill in a quiet hamlet, mixing the best of old and new to form a unique house with the wow factor! It is very spacious inside, with two wood-burners, and decking overlooking the stream and woods at the back. It is only 25 minutes from the Pembrokeshire coast path, and 15 minutes from superb walking the Preseli Hills. There is plenty of parking space, with room for up to five cars to park off the road, so ideal for groups.

The space
Huge, very well-equipped kitchen, living space and master bedroom with exposed stone walls and beams. The kitchen has its own wood-burner, as does the massive sitting room. There are plenty of games, books, jigsaws and DVDs available. There is a separate, downstairs games room, ideal for teenagers to chill in. There are four bedrooms. The Master bedroom is massive, and has a superking bed, an ensuite and a private balcony. There is another double bedroom upstairs, and two twin bedrooms each with two single beds. The mill is in a beautiful, peaceful setting, overlooking our own stream bank, with a path down to the stream itself. Outside is a large decked area with big table and seating, and barbeque available. Just the sound of the stream as you enjoy the sunshine outside...or sometimes the Welsh rain!

Guest access
The whole house and garden/decking is yours to enjoy, including the stream, although the opposite bank is out of bounds as it belongs to the garden of the house opposite.

Other things to note
Weekly booking runs from Saturday to Saturday, or minimum of three days between.
Warning: This house is so lovely to be in, you may not get to do much exploring outside!
One well-behaved non-miniature dog is always welcome. No puppies please as they can fall through the railings and be dashed against the rocks below. They are also prone to other 'accidents' in the house. Note decking and steps can be slippery when wet. This is West Wales, it rains a lot, get over it!

Star is a very quiet hamlet in the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire, West Wales. We are surrounded by friendly, helpful people. The surroundings are breathtaking, with the Preseli Hills only five miles away, and the award-winning beaches of North Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion less than half an hour away by car. The Boat House in Laugharne, associated with Dylan Thomas the renowned Welsh poet, is only half an hour away also. This area is as beautiful as Cornwall but without all the people!

I am a university lecturer, but have a love of the countryside and try to get away from the city as often as possible, often on my bicycle! I have an interest in old buildings and in sustainablity, particularly in the architectural field. I am always at the end of the phone if needed, and very happy to answer any questions before, during, or even after your stay, but otherwise I like to leave my guests to enjoy the mill in their own way. I am sure you will love being there just as much as I do!
