… this is something to behold! a stunning and chic 1940's wagon with all the mod cons, electric hob, fridge, wood burner. Separate bathroom with claw foot bath, compost loo and heated towel rail! In a wonderful rural setting. Wildlife galore.

The space

A simply stunning Showman's Wagon ! A lovely stylish space that can accommodate up to 4 people.
It has a separate double bedroom. A useful kitchen with a granite worktop hob and fridge. The table seats 4 comfortably and folds into a double bed if required. A comfy sofa sits in front of the wood burning stove. The whole space oozes quality and style.
The bathroom is two steps away cleverly fitted into an old horse trailer - with wood floor, claw foot bath and heated towel rail. Open the door on a sunny day while in the bath and watch the birds - lots of wildlife

Collect eggs from the nearby chickens for a really fresh breakfast.

Guest access

Set in its own private field next to horses, goats and chickens - easy walking direct from the property. Parking beside Showmans.

Interaction with guests

Not to much - only to say 'hello' and show you around. We are nearby if you would like any advice on local walks or pubs.

Other things to note

Local pubs like the Noahs Ark in Lurgashall are very close but will need to be booked in advance.
Kitchen comes with all of the basics, salt, pepper, olive oil etc. Bathroom has towels and loo roll.

Communication was great with Simon. He and his wife were friendly and welcoming. The Showmans Wagon was very comfortable and the property was stunning. It was a prefect getaway from city life and wonderful if you are an animal lover, such as myself. It was very quiet and peaceful, with plenty of walks directly from the property.

The wagon is wonderful! A bath and a log fire, what more could you want for a weekend away? Simon and Anne were very welcoming and helpful, happy to chat and share some local knowledge on walks, pubs etc. The goats, chickens and horses were friendly too :-) Thank you both for a magical evening!

Although sadly only the two nights, our stay was perfect. The wagon was all set up for us with everything we could need and more and the perfect amount of hosting - letting us know how everything worked etc and of some good walks/pubs. Definitely hope to be back soon!

This is a fantastic experience, my wife and I loved our time at the Wagon. It is very cosy, the views and peace and quiet were much needed. Simon was very friendly and helpful, easily contactable but gave us space. The only issue we had was with the water pipes freezing over night which meant no water but we didn't mind and Simon was very helpful and provided us with enough water for tea and coffee in the morning! Would definitely recommend this place to friends

We had a wonderful (albeit very short!) stay at the Showman's Wagon. It has been beautifully decorated and space used really cleverly. Simon was very helpful (He even pulled our car out with his Landrover as the weather was awful and we made the mistake of parking on grass!) and also recommended somewhere nearby for dinner, which was delicious. The wagon is in a beautiful, peaceful setting and we look forward to returning for longer to explore the area.

We had a lovely time staying in Simon's showmans wagon. Very clean, and well equipped, it looks just like the photographs. Simon and Ann were very welcoming, Simon even picked us up from the train station. The location is great, with plenty of good walks, quaint pubs and a fantastic local brewery nearby. I would definitely stay again.

Live on our estate where the Showman's and Cottage are located. Help to look after my wife's animals and just starting a franchise business in the Equine world.
