We stayed her during last weekend's Culpepper horse show because all the usual hotels were full. It was our first Airbnb experience and it was great. The hosts were welcoming and helpful and the cottage is beautiful. And the setting lovely. The cottage is 15-20 minutes from the show grounds. Would definitely stay here again.

Jeff and Theresa's cottage was absolutely wonderful! It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped. It was perfect for a quiet getaway. Jeff and Theresa went our of their way to make us feel welcomed and allowed us to ride an RTV around their property. They also made us a bonfire for s'mores! They do have cats and dogs but we had zero issues as they were not allowed into the cottage (upon our request). Absolutely loved our stay!

Actually, the pets are never allowed inside the guest house at any time. I didn't want anyone reading your review to think otherwise. They are strictly outdoor pets. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

We had a wonderful time in this truly charming cottage! Jeff and Theresa were warm and welcoming (their dog and cats were too!). The house was beautiful, well appointed, and meticulously clean- I am very jealous of the open kitchen! One friend said the bathroom was like a little spa. What isn't captured in the listing is just how gorgeous the grounds and surrounding area is- lovely pine forests, wide open grassy areas (perfect for frisbee or wandering), nearby sheep baa-ing and roosters crowing. The patio with the gardens and the grill are lovely. My group was there for a little working retreat, but we found lots of fun and relaxation. We really appreciated Jeff and Theresa's attention to detail and that they made sure we had everything we needed to have a great weekend! We would definitely recommend to friends.

We just arrived home and unpacked our bags from a wonderful long weekend in Culpeper, VA! Our hosts were great!!! They welcomed us with open arms. We loved their amazing cottage. Every detail of the cottage was perfect. Loved all the molding, windows, details in the kitchen; from dishes to knick knacks, spices, coffee maker, coffee.... The bedrooms were very comfortable. The bathrooms were great, linens thoughout the home were high quality. Every detail in this cottage was thought of! We loved hanging out in the tv room downstairs. We watched several movies from the large selection provided. The beautiful books on display of history and maps (amongst others) were a huge hit with our son who paged through them for hours. The grounds were great. Plenty of places to roam and explore. We found the 600 year old White Oak tree near the old mill foundation. The patio and gardens were extraordinary, such a great place to hang out in the morning with a cup of coffee and a book. Downtown Culpeper was really quaint. We roamed in the shops and ate several delicious meals in town. One afternoon we hiked a bit in the Shenandoah National Park. The drives getting to and from places were breathtaking with the rolling hills and farmland around every turn. We were sorry we couldn't fit in the bon fire that was offered, I know it would have been a perfect ending to one of our great days there. Highly recommend this place!!!

My husband and I along with our son and my parents stayed at Jeff Knight's cottage over memorial day weekend and had a wonderful time. The accommodations and location of the cottage exceeded all of our expectations; Jeff and his wife were extremely friendly, they hosted a bonfire for us in the evening after we arrived, and they allowed us to use their ATV to take our son on continual tours of the property, which he enjoyed immensely. In addition to the cottage, we also really enjoyed walking down the streets of Culpeper and the surrounding area, eating in small restaurants and shopping for specialty cheeses and wine. If you are looking for a quiet reprieve from the city, there is no better option.
