A restful cottage with scenic surroundings, we travelled with my toddler and had a lovely time. He thoroughly enjoyed seeing the chickens and the secluded garden. A good spot for countryside walks and as a base to visit other parts of Kent. Our host was welcoming and informative.

My second visit for work purposes. Was wonderful to have peace and quiet to work on my business. Love staying here, very comfortable and relaxing and a great place to have time with your own thoughts. Perfect little getaway.

Benson's Rest was the perfect get away and just what I was looking for; a peaceful and comfortable please for me to spend the weekend catching up on work away from the distractions of home and space to think. Sarah and Nick were the perfect hosts and available if I needed them. Sarah's Lemon Tart was out of this world and such a treat. I have already booked my second weekend there and can't wait to have some time to focus on developing my business.

We enjoyed our stay at the quiet country retreat very much. The apartment was clean, Sarah provided a homemade cake and sparkling elderflower juice and made us feel really welcome. Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided and we had a pleasant evening in the pub with great food. Our son liked the hens and the dogs and we will visit again.

Bensons Rest Sarah was a delightful host. Cheerfully met us on arrival with goodies and then left us to our own devices - which is what we preferred. Although we always felt confident to ask Sarah for help if we had needed it. Plenty of maps and brochures of the local area. BEnson's Rest is an annex attached to the house but is private - has its own entrance etc. Great location to visit interesting parts - we drove in all directions and it was always good to return to this lovely place. Good pubs and tea rooms. Great pasties at Weeks tea rooms in Goudhurst. Benson's Rest is Highly recommended.

We had a great time staying at Sarah's cottage. It was really peaceful, the bedroom was great for relaxing with a huge comfortable bed and blackout blinds. The living room was huge too, with comfortable sofa and a kitchen with all the essentials. The location is super quiet and you could see the stars at night. The accommodation is an annex to the house but is very private and its own contained space. We were made to feel really welcome with a cake on arrival and enjoyed collecting the fresh eggs in the morning- my girlfriend loved cuddling the chickens (!) Cranbrook is a quiet small village which is a 10 minute drive away. We picked up some walking guides from the information centre and Sarah and her family gave really good local recommendations. We would recommend the 10 mile walk loop from the church to Sissinghurst Castle and back. Overall it was a great couple of days stay- a perfect way to relax in a lovely part of Kent.

Sarah and Nick made us feel welcome right from the start and during our stay. The property was a little difficult to find at first but well worth it in the end. This property is ideally located, under an hour drive to Brighton and Rye and very convenient for all manner of sightseeing in the area. There is good shopping within 10 minutes drive and the local pub, the Peacock, is worth a visit.
