Built recently, the new guest house keeps an outline perfectly integrated in the environment and at the same time offers the comfort of a recent construction. It is a T2 apartment that offers a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds.

The space

A grassy area with swings for the kids to play football and sandy area at the back for them to explore - with horses in the adjoining field, sheep up the road and the sounds of cockerel. A swimming pool is something lovely for a cooling dip. The house is within walking distance of the quiet, friendly village of São Bartolomeu and a short drive to Santiago do Cacém, a small but bustling and welcoming town where there are a couple of bigger supermarkets and some small bakeries, lovely parks and a children's playground. There's also a lot for you to dicover by yourself

Guest access

Guest can access to all the areas in the space except for the basement where the machines and equipment are. Despite that you can ask our manager for everything in there.

Interaction with guests

Both the owners and manager Teresa are fully avaiable for everything you need during your stay. We love to help and make you stay unforgetable.

Teresa was a great host, and immediately made us feel at home. The home was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very peaceful, in a lovely location with great views. Porto Covo is around 35-40 mins away by car, it's a beautiful place to visit with incredible wild beaches. She also provided us with a lovely breakfast hamper - we loved our stay!

Great place to feel Alentejo, relax and recharge batteries! We had an excellent time. We arrived late in the day but everything went smoothly nonetheless. Both the owner and Teresa were very helpful and readily reachable. I would definitely go back!

Awesome place, I already miss it. Peaceful enough to charge your batteries, close enough to supermarkets to pile up the stores, can't wait to go back. The hosts are also very helpful and giving, 5 stars. Espero repetir!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lovely Montadhino house. The house is very comfortable & has all amenities. We were given a breakfast basket with some delicious supplies. The house is in a great location. Very peaceful & surrounded by farming areas. The grounds & pool were very relaxing to spend time in. Montes was very easy to communicate with & answered any queries quickly.

We had a wonderful time at Montadinho. The cottage was amazing and so peaceful. Ideal for a tranquil getaway. We'd love to go back and spend more time there. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area.

Montadinho is a beautiful, clean, modern guest house, located on a small country lane and just the right size for our family of 2 adults and 2 children for 10 days exploring Alentejo. The pictures are spot on, very comfortable bedrooms with tasteful touches but not cluttered, a great open plan, double height living/dining area with a compact but perfectly functional kitchenette. There is also a bath in the bathroom, towels were supplied and there is access to a washing machine. Glass doors open onto a shaded porch with outdoor dining and a hammock (we could have done with 2!). A grassy area with swings for the kids to play football and sandy area at the back for them to explore - with horses in the adjoining field, sheep up the road and the sounds of cockerel. Swimming pool was lovely for a cooling dip but a bit too cold for us to use regularly in late September. There is another guest house next door but it wasn't occupied when we were there. The host replied quickly and warmly and was very helpful with enquiries. The wonderful Teresa manages the place and met us, late in the evening, with a beautiful basket of breakfast goodies and a fridge stocked with essentials - much appreciated after a long journey with small children! She was also on hand with tourist information and any other queries. The house is within walking distance of the quiet, friendly village of Sao Bartolomeu (where there is apparently a local shop) and a short drive to Santiago do Cacem, a small but bustling and welcoming town where there are a couple of bigger supermarkets and some small bakeries, lovely parks and a children's playground. We loved discovering the old town of Santiago do Cacem but also liked being 20/30 minute drive to the sheltered lagoon at Santo Andre and the dramatic beaches just south of Sines at Porto Covo. The region is really unspoilt and is was great to drive through the rural areas with cork oak trees, reservoirs, cattle farming and small towns. We made day trips to Beja (1hr), Lisbon (1.5hr) and Evora (2hr). Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of the 2 mountain bikes available to use but the local area looks like it has some great trails. It was wonderful being somewhere secluded where you could really relax, switch off and enjoy the countryside - but also somewhere clean, comfortable and close to local amenities and friendly communities who gave you a real sense of the identity of the region. Thank you for giving us a fabulous holiday in this beautiful area.

Recomendo vivamente.
