About this listing

Our enclosed parking lot is pure gold and less than 5 minutes from downtown! The room is the smaller of 3 airbnb rooms, but would be great for 1-2 people. It shares a bathroom, kitchenette, lounge area, and balcony with 2 other bedrooms.

Description

The space

This house is full of character and charm! It was built in the 1920s and still has some of the original house features. There is also reserved parking in a key controlled parking lot, which is like gold in LA. This room has a large closet and is suitable for long term rentals.

Guest access

Guests have access to a lounge/living area with chairs that has an amazing view of downtown. There is a also a balcony with chairs that is perfect for sipping a glass of wine in the evening and looking at the skyline. Guests will have access to a kitchenette which includes a mini fridge, microwave, utensils, and coffee maker. I supply the coffee!

The neighbourhood

Westlake is by far my favorite neighborhood in all of Los Angeles. The neighborhood is primarily Central American, as you will notice from all the local restaurants.

Getting around

The house is centrally located to get to some of the best spots in Los Angeles. If you are driving, you can get to downtown in about 5 minutes or Hollywood in about 15 minutes. If you hit traffic right, the beach is only 15 minutes away.

It is very easy to get around LA on the Metro (underground train/subway system) and the entrance is just a block away.

OMG totally thought I did this already! Must have dreamt it! Haha I totally recommend staying at Julie's place! She is an excellent host! Her place has a fantastic view of the downtown LA skyline and is a two minute walk to the metro rail station that pretty much takes you everywhere you want to go in LA. I would definitely stay there again! :D

My best friend and I moved to Los Angeles from the Midwest and stayed at Julie's for a month when we first arrived. Julie was so accommodating! The place is cozy, the kitchen is the perfect size for cooking simple dishes, and we made great friends with the other guests. Plus the view of Downtown LA is amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Everything was perfect! ÚThe best things is the balcony and its really close to the Metro. We didnt have to leave the house in strict time, we could stay until the next guest will arrive. There is just one thing, me and my girlfriend didnt feel safe when we were going to the house from the Metro station during the night. Thanks Julie for beeing a grat host!

Julie's house in Westlake is a good base for exploring LA when you don't drive. MacArthur Park/Metro is very close and connects in many directions. Along with the room comes a small common area with a balcony that gives an amazing view of downtown. Julie was very nice and welcoming!

I work at a non-profit legal aid center during the day and go to law school at night. My days are packed and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Besides my family and friends, the things I love most in life are good food and wine, live music, and mystery novels...and travel of course!
