Style in the Wild is a tastefully designed cottage, part of a group of 5 cottages in Thirakkaipatta. You lead a busy life, buried in the hustle and bustle of cities, living life between airport terminals, Excel Spreadsheets, email threads and payslips. You wonder if you'll ever catch a break in life and be in a place, finding time for you and yourself. Style in the Wild was such a place. Quietly tucked away inside the hills, in the middle of a carefully nourished bamboo forest, and facing the hills that quiz you everytime you look at them. Loved the 3-day stay here with a friend. Starting from directions to the place, providing 2 meals a day (cooked by folks from the local community, gorgeous and delicious local cuisine), supplying us smart local travel tips, to leaving us with enough privacy. This place was what exactly my friend and I yearned for. Big thanks to Manoj, his wife Saira, the ever-helpful and smiling Manager Elby, the local transporters Anoop and Anish. And most importantly, the people who cooked our meals, leaving us craving for more and more of the delicate local palette. Would recommend for anyone who longs for a couple days listening to the crickets, staring at the silent and mysterious hills, nice and away from all the commercialized joints.

Hello, Namaskaram,

I’m Manoj. I’m originally from Trishur (Kerala) and love to travel and meet new people all around this amazing world. I am open-minded, respectful and always available to make your stay as good as it should be. I like to talk to new people and learn more about the world. It's important for me to make you discover the beauty of my native place. I am happy if I can share my knowledge on my country and region with you, like many people have done in the past to help me during my travels.

I’m working for Uravu Eco Links. We have set up a brand new eco-friendly community tourism project located in Thrikkaipetta, Wayanad district, Kerala. Our eco-resort is situated just outside the peaceful Thrikkaipetta Bamboo Village and is surrounded by rice fields. You will be amazed by the magical tranquillity and beauty of the place whilst staying in one of our eco-cottages surrounded by nature. Also, we can organise village walks with a local guide and visits to the Uravu bamboo workshops for you.
