Bed and breakfast at our farmhouse is over 200 years old. We are in a quiet spot yet nestled between Aberporth on the coast and Cardigan with all the amenities. A great location for walking the coastal path or visiting some of the best beaches in West Wales.

The space
The house is on a quiet 8 acre small holding near the beautiful coastline of West Wales. 3 miles to Cardigan and about a 40 minute drive to the Ferry to Ireland at Fishguard. Cardigan has a Aldi, a Tesco, and Co-op supermarket A few miles to 6 beautiful sand beaches, two that are National Trust. Our local beach is Mwnt, listed as No. 1 in the Daily Mail's list in the Top Ten: Europe's Secret Beaches. You can easily walk to the Ceredigion Coastal Path. There is a small bedroom with 2 single beds, another small one with a double bed, and a larger one with a King Size bed. Two bathrooms (one for exclusive use by guests) and a shower in an outbuilding if you hate baths and want an invigorating experience. We have our own eggs if you like a big breakfast. If we are able, we will cook you breakfast or we will supply the breakfast goodies and you can prepare your own breakfast at a time that suits you.

It is a 15 minute walk to the local bus stops if you are using public transport. In the summer and selected days in the winter there is the Cardi Bach, a small bus that serves the Coastal Path so you only need to walk one way. The Cardi Bach bus stop in Felinwynt is close to our drive. Closest train stations are Carmarthen or Aberystwyth. If you come by bus, happy to pick you up in Cardigan. Plenty of good places to eat nearby and if you are on a tight budget you can cook in the kitchen.

If the dates you want are booked, contact us we may have another bedroom available.

One of the most popular trips in Cardigan is a boat trip called Bay to Remember-On most trips you will see dolphins, seals and plenty of bird life.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and the washing machine and dryer. Guests are also encouraged to make themselves at home.

After almost all the children left home (we have 9 of them) we wanted to share our home with others. Sometimes they come back so it can be a busy household at times. Originally from the USA, we have been in Britain since 1980. When our youngest was born with a disability, our life direction changed. We moved to Wales in 1997. I loved my work at a charity for disabled children. I retired in 2018 after working at Cerebra for 18 years. We also are involved in disabled skiing. We have met so many interesting and lovely people through hosting with airbnb. It has been good fun and a good excuse to keep the house tidy. Also the funds have helped us convert an old stone cow barn into a beautiful holiday let. We just finished it in September 2014 We like walking and cycling and exploring all the beautiful parts of the UK.
